Never ending humidor project

Here are the first pictures of my never ending humidor project sitting in front of my last bookcase project. Maybe one day it will serve it's purpose and be home to my cigars.

Looks good Skip! I'm sure it will look even better once it is finished.

Doing it all yourself and it taking so long will only make you appreciate it more in the end!

Skip,
That is darn nice.
Doesn't look like you are that far off from finishing.

I will take a trip to the West Coast to help you finish it if we can build one for me while we are at it.
I suck at woodworking.
Would love to do a project like that some day.

Very nice! You've done a spectacular job so far. It will surely be a beautiful piece of furniture when it is finally completed.

If I may ask, are you working from plans or a drawing? If so, would you be willing to share, sell or trade the plans?

The plans are from Rockler. Do not follow them exactly. I have found at least 8 mistakes in them. Also I have modified the plans to suit my needs (they use freakin oak plywood for the panels! ) I also will line every inch of it with spanish cedar and have changed the interior layout.

Re: Never ending humidor project

What skill level would you say is required for one to build such a cabinet? My skills are limited to what I remember from wood shop in the 9th grade, almost twenty years ago.

Would you happen to have the plan name or number?

Thanks.
