Pulled trigger on new Tundra

Well I just pulled the trigger on a new Toyota Tundra. I wasn't looking to buy a new truck, but a moron with 8 suspensions on his license made the decision for me. The dope pulled out right infront of me and it was like a monster truck rally. My truck went over the front end of his Pontiac. The collision wrecked the front end of my truck and the rear end of my truck didn't quite make it over the Pontiac and was ripped out. Lucky for me I was uninjured and no one else was in the truck with me. Well my truck, that gave me nine years of wonderful service, is totalled. Today I bit the bullet and bought a new Tundra. I got a great deal on a new 2008 Tundra Limited Double Cab with a 5.7 liter engine. The sticker price was 40,800 and I paid 34,000 and also got zero percent financing for 5 years. I'll pick it up in a couple of days once I get all the paperwork completed. I wasn't looking to buy a new truck but now I'm kinda getting excited about getting the new truck. Every cloud has a silver lining.

Re: Pulled trigger on new Tundra

I know the economic times are diffacult but if you're looking to buy a new truck, you can get a heck of a good deal. I shopped Ford also and could have gotten a good deal on an 08 Ford F-150, but there were major changes to the F-150 in 09. I didn't like the 08 Ford as much as the 08 Tundra and Ford wasn't moving as much on the 09 pricing. I did like the 09 Fords but they wouldn't move that much on the price and the financing was around 5%, so I bought another Tundra. I was very happy with the last one, I had about 118,500 miles on it and it would have been 10 years old in August. The old Tundra was still going strong and I was hoping to keep it atleast 8 more years, before it was wrecked. Now I have another one on the way and I'm hoping it gives me the same good service the last one did. It truly was a great truck and I'm sad it's gone. I kinda get attached to my vehicles. I guess it's because I keep them so long and I did smoke some good stogies in that truck. I'm wondering how long it will be before I break in the new truck with some stogies. I like to keep the new car smell for a while and the stogies would kill that. Thanks for the Congrats.

Good deal. I switched from the F150 to a Titan last May and couldn't be happier. Enjoy the new truck.
