You can't just NOT do anything because you don't have insurance. If you have a fracture and don't get it treated, it could cause you difficulty down the road. They will treat you and you can work out some sort of payment plan I am sure.

Matt...get yourself to the hospital now!
It may not be a break in the tarsal or metatarsal region, it it looks like you have at least torn ligments in the the area. On bigger guys (I know, I'm one) that kind of injury has life long ramifications if not tended to. Hellfire, use the f'ing emergancy room and call yourself Emanual Daylaborer if oyu have to, but get medical attention...please!

Hope the best for you. |

Ouch!
First: sorry to hear (and see) this injury. I've broken various bones in my feet over the years, and believe me when I say: I know the pain. Second: As others have said: that doesn't look good. Third: Also, as others have said--get some definitive care for that. And from this, I speak from the point of view of inside--and outside-- experience. I had a hand fracture that I did nothing with for various reasons (including the old standby: "I can't afford the doctor visit.") Long story short on that, I have noticeable deformity of my right (dominant) hand, as well as decreased mobility and sensation. Thyis impacts my work (I'm the engineer at --wait for it-- an EMS service [how's that for irony?], and my hobbies [I used to shoot pistol competition... doesn't work as well now that my grip is all whacked out] and still, occasionally, causes me pain. And this is only a hand--it doesn't have to support half my body weight, or be in-service as often as my feet. Please reconsider your options. At the ER, anyway, you cannot be denied care for your ability to pay--and as long as you get on a payment plan --$20 a month, even-- they cannot impact your credit score. I hope you feel better--and that you get your foot taken care of. Best, --Coop |

Go to the DR before we rent a CR short bus and come up there, tie you up, and drag you to the DR
