Bird hunting mostly. Got 6 pheasant last year...been dove and quail hunting too. I'm planning a turkey hunting trip this fall...yeah baby...

I want to go deer hunting too, but I need a rifle... I have friends who share their bounty...in the form of jerky and venison steaks...Mmmm..Mmmmm

I started hunting a few years ago. I've hunted deer, pheasant, duck & goose, and various small game. I got a .17HMR last fall specifically for killing groundhogs and squirrels.

Sparhawk - I got my first (and so far only hehe) buck a few years ago with my 12ga. Even if you don't have a slug barrel, you likely can use rifled slugs and get better accuracy out of it than you'd think. I use a Mossberg 835 turkey gun with 24" barrel and have little trouble keeping 5-6" groups at 60 yards which is about as far as I'd shoot where I hunt deer in most cases. I want to eventually get a large bore (.44mag or so) revolver and hunt deer with that.

Conjering up old memories....

Used to do lots of hunting and fishing growing up in MI.

Rabbit hunting with a 20 ga, deer hunting with either a 30-30 or 300 Magnum. I would walk a swale at the botom of the hill and the 'grown-ups' would shoot out of the windows of the cabin. They used to get 1-2 per morning that way. Then I would go sit in the woods for a few hours. Got a few bucks and a couple does.

Fishing seems like it used to be almost constant Memorial day to Labor day. We would go up to Copper Harbor in the Upper Penninsula Memorial Day weekend and pull in Pike and Walleye. Rest of the time was Lake Huron perch fishing.

Haven't done it since I left home *yikes* 20 years ago!!

Love to fish. Caught a 25.7 lb. catfish last summer while smoking a Griffin's Fuerte. Haven't been so lucky this summer, but still have had fun.

Sounds good my friend. I am going down to southern Ohio at the end of July to see my Pops. We are entering a catfishing tourney down there. How close are you to Ashland, KY? My dad lives about 5 minutes from there.

Louisville is 3 hours from Ashland. But too early for me, I'll move in 2 week only. But next time maybe.

Sounds good. There is a pay pond (where I caught the 25 pounder) by my dad's house & they regularly pull 60 to 70 pound Catfish out of it!!! The week I caught my fish, I only owned the title of biggest fish of the week for like 12 hours. I got beat by a 34 lb. cat. Then that guy got beat by a 50+ lb. cat

I shot a deer when I was in high school. Not really interested in doing it again. Just not my thing anymore. Lucky for you guys, though, cause I was damn good at it!!!
