What a Crappy weekend!!
So, first thing Thursday, the wife talks me into going to Columbus to spend our Christmas gift cards. I am not super-thrilled, BUT I do have a $50 gift cert. to the Tinderbox, so I am not totally against the trip. I go to the Tinderbox first & decide to be a bit "crazy" since this is kind of a freebie. So I purchase a Padron 1926, Fuente Anjeo, Ashton San Cristobal, Fonseca Cubano limitada, & a Griffin's 2007 Limited edition. Needless to say, I am happy. After a few more hours of shopping with an irritated wife & fussy one-year-old I start to get a pounding headache. Took some tylenol & I am okay for the rest of the night. I wake up about 3AM Friday when the headache came back with a vengence & had to go take some more tylenol. Finally by about 1PM friday I cannot take it anymore & head to the chiropractor. He fixes me up & I even managed to head to Goodwill & get an ugly chair for my new "smoking lounge" in the garage, for $15 no less. By about 7PM my head started hurting so bad again that I thought I was going to cry. Finally about 10PM I decide to go to bed. Just as I fall asleep, around 11PM, I hear the wife screaming for me to come back downstairs. I immediately start freaking out because I knew that meant something was wrong with the baby. I get downstairs & the smell hit me. The baby vomited everywhere. She is crying, the wife is freaking out, & I am cleaning up big piles of gross puke. We finally get everything calmed down around 11:30PM, so I go back to bed. About 1:15AM the wife comes back upstairs & tells me we need to get to the ER as the baby has been vomiting every 20 minutes or so since 11. So we roll into the ER about 2AM, scared out of our minds. We finally get out of there about 5AM Saturday morning. Saturday goes okay. No vomiting, but now the "other end" is the issue. So we are now stressed out about dehydration. So we get through Sat. afternoon & by that evening the baby is eating & drinking like normal, so all is well. We had great plans for Saturday night that we had been looking forward to for several days, which we had to cancel. Sunday we go to my Mom's for sunday family dinner. After I finish my salad, I start feeling really uncomfortably full out of nowhere. This has always been a precursor to me getting sick in the past & now I am worried that I picked up what the baby had. Sure enough, as soon as we get home...BOOM!! I am revisiting everything I had eaten. This goes on for several hours & gets so bad I begin to get charlie horses in my hamstrings from dehydration. I finally am able to start drinking water & am not vomiting, but now I cannot sleep. It was horrible. We had to cancel our New Year's plans, which we had planned for a few months. So now my wife is feeling lousy & on New Year's Eve I am sitting in my underwear, on the couch, watching TV & typing this message. Thanks for listening, sorry I do not have anything funny or positive to add, just venting to my Bro's!! Thanks for listening.

Wow!! That really must have sucked. Hope you, and the baby, are feeling a bit better. Maybe a cigar bomb might help....

Thanks fellas, hope I didn't bring anyone down.
Stan-- It was kind of funny, when the stress was at its highest & we didn't know what was going on with the baby, my headache disappeared & hasn't been back. Jax-- I made the wife eat something & take some tylenol & she has caught her second wind....plus she loves football as much as me, so we are hanging out watching the bowl games. So even if it isn't an "exciting" night, we are actually enjoying ourselves, all things considered Rick-- I believe you have sent me all the cigars I will need for a Long Time The baby is having all kinds of fun with grandma tonight & I actually feel pretty decent. Thanks again Fellas!!!

Andy, I have been where you are complete with the upset wife and ER visit. You've been Baptized into Fatherhood...(pun intended
)It wound like everything turned out OK. I commend you for keeping your cool and ensuring your family got through it with only minor issues. Sometimes that's all we can do , as a Dad, is to provide damage control, housekeeping duties, and a shoulder for the Misses to lean on. Nice move to see your Chiropractor. The neck and head are funny things and when they are not in the right alignment or place...it can cause all kinds of things. If the headaches happen often, try some Teifu oil. it comes in a very small bottle, cause it goes a long way. Dab a little on the back of your hand and lick it. It is a little bitter, but it will open up your sinuses instantly! You can also put a drop in your hand and cup your hands over your mouth and breathe 3-4 times to get it into your lungs. It has a gret effect over your head and sinuses that could be causing your headaches. We use it combined with regular visits to the Chiro. Or maybe you just needed a cigar... ![]() Welcome to 2008...!

Wow man, 2007 went out with a bang didn't it? Ya know, we'd had a small party planned here at our place for last night and it fell apart at the last minute and ended up being only Michele & I and my buddy Jack. The rest were sick and couldn't come
I had a beer and a shot last night, sat on the couch and watched tv until we walked up the street to watch em drop the canal boat at midnight, was in bed before 1am. A very unexciting New Year's for us too. Eh well, sometimes it's nice to not do much and just relax. Hope 2008 starts off a lot better for ya man!
