Recommend some TV Series on DVD
Instead of recommending the shows everyone knows about like The Sopranos, I figured I would go and recommend some slightly less popular shows.

The Wire - all seasons. One of the best HBO shows to date. It takes awhile to get moving just because there are so many characters involved, but once it gets moving you will LOVE it.

Jericho - Season 1. One of those great shows that only a few people watched. It focuses on a small town in Kansas after the US has been the victim of a terrorist attack. Communications are down and the viewer is just as clueless as the characters as to what is happening out in the world. The show was canceled at the end of Season 1, but the fans bombarded CBS with thousands of pounds of peanuts (based on a line from the finale), so CBS eventually brought the show back, put in a wise move put it up against American Idol (ouch!).

Battlestar Galactica - Mini-series through Season 1. The new version of the old sci-fi classic is just great. More action, hot babes, great acting, if you watch the mini-series, you will be hooked.

Dead Like Me - Seasons 1 & 2. Short lived Showtime series was a quirky little show about dead people working as reapers. Very dark humor and great acting made this show a joy to watch.

Rescue Me - Entire Series - The best show on FX. **** The Shield.

yep. dennis learly has been doing a bunch of movie projects, and the writers strike held everything up too. to make matters worse, every tuesday night they have a 10 minute "minisode" that is all new stuff, and so far has been HILARIOUS, but its just a cock tease.
