I got my first set of Prescription Glasses today

at 46 years old and a lifetime in IT, I guess I should feel lucky. So I picked up my no line bifocals today. I have had a headache and dizzy/quesy feeling ever since I put them on. Hope this is normal.

Yeah, it's normal...your eyes will adjust to them in a short period of time.

I got no line tri's and for the first week I felt like I was in a fish bowl.
Had to start learning to turn my head and not my eyes.

Used to them now but, never wear them.

I got contacts...but just can't seem to get them in my eyes first thing in the morning. Takes too long and I don't get up early enough to give myself enough time. When I do get them in, they start bothering me (feeling dried out, even if I use drops) by the end of the work day. seems the longest I can keep them in is about 8 hours or so...not sure if that's something that'll get better with time or not?

Did you just start with contacts?

Learning to put 'em in and take 'em out quickly does take time (and IMO the worst part about contacts) but believe me, it does get easier with time.

After about 8 hours mine start feeling a little dry as well, I think it's just the nature of the beast. I can tolerate them up to about 14 hours though.

Talk with your Dr., a change of brands may help if they feel that dry that quickly.

Bifocals here for 12 or 15 years, but give me the lines. I want to know EXACTLY where the edge of that cliff is. And, for me anyway, less difficulty getting used to them.

I got em in April, but to be honest I just don't wear them very often. I can get them in easily enough once I'm awake...it's just that first thing in the morning, I'm not awake Maybe I'll give it another shot & just keep workin at it, see if they get any better. Thanks!

What kind of "no line bifocals" dizzy can append at beginning, but I don't think headache is a good think. Some progressive "No line" lenses are worst than other. And progressive lenses need a good ajustment.
I know optician like to say "Wait one or 2 weeks" but a good progressive correctly adjust is not suppose to give headache. And a good anti-reflection coating (What I'm doing) can help too.

If I've recently gotten a new pair of glasses then yes, I'll have blurry peripheral vision....at least where glasses end (around the frame). In so much as vision through the glasses - no, I can't say that I have any blurry spots.

That will pass.
Now they make new kind of progressive, (called Free form) It seem they are way better. I made one pair for my mother who told me she don't like it because she can see better her old face.
But when she put for the first time her new glass she didn't feel any of the secondary effect like you had.
But seriously this kind of progressive are better. For peoples who need progressive, this is what I will recommand. A bit more expensive, but we have for what we pay.
