Charmonix France

Spent a weekend in France. What a great time. Looking up onto the mountain with snow in September. What a picture. Here a few photos.

The North Face Ultra-Trail was awesome. There were three meets. One was 98 KM, the second was 166KM, and the third was 220KM. What a great event. Hiking up and down the mountain in three countries. Swiss, France, and Italy. So cool.

Google it for more info. Quite impressive.

Aces. When we were driving down into the Black Forrest I said the same thing to my wife. We just went through 3 countries in less then 3 hours. It's really great to be able to drive to so many Countries over here.

That pic of the drummers was the greatest. This band of whatever went all over the town during the event and was a blast. Quite the showmen. It was so great being there. We never the knew that the big running/hiking event was going on. We just happened to be there when it happened. Good time.

I noticed that photo too, but beard's too short and my legs tend more toward poultry.

Oh yeah, French disc courses.

Was a runner and cyclist, still a hiker and disc golfer. Too much abuse on my little chicken legs.

Sweet pics. Thanks for sending me into flashbacks. I was in Chamonix in 1996. I spent a week skiing in Courmayeur, Italy and one of the days we went over to Chamonix to ski and check it out. I miss that area a lot. I will have to scan in some pics from that trip when I get a new scanner/printer.
