Being Invisible While Logged into the Forums
Some of you may or may not know that there is a feature in your profile here where you can choose to be "invisible".
That means you can be logged in, but your user name does not show you logged in at the bottom portion of the main forum page. Please be aware the Moderators and Administrators can still see you logged in, and your name appears in italics denoting that you are in invisible mode. In the 3.5 year history of this board, I have seen only 3 - 4 people use this feature. Frankly, I have no idea why anyone would use this feature. However, there are currently 2 - 3 people using it as their default. It makes no sense to me. I have always felt like a forum is a HERF or a party where everybody knows everybody and we are all friends. Flying invisible is like sneaking into the party, hiding in the closet and eavesdropping. That's just my opinion. Even though I don't understand it, it has never really bothered me that people do it. However, not all the mods feel that way, and I have been asked to remove that feature. It's not being removed. Actually, doing any programming changes don't makes sense right now with the transition to the new forums in the works. So, anyway, what do the rest of you guys think about your "forum mates" hiding from you?

I've a feeling that I know one, maybe two that do it. It was pretty common on some other forums I was on. Guess I never really thought much about it either way to be honest
 Maybe they've got a reason, unrelated to the actual board and it's members, as to why they do it? In the end, it hasn't bothered me enough to mention it to the one or two that I thought used that option, so I guess it's not a big deal to me

I have used it off and on....
for different reasons....... HAY.... WHERE AM I ???????????? I think I'll lurk a while.... and try and catch Iceman sneaking up to steal my yard signs..... |

I knew about it, never used it, If I "needed" to not be seen I would just lurk without logging in....but that would be gay
