well, i am posting this from my phone because i have been withou power since 3:45 this morning. i called off work because there is no way im going to negotiate a 42 foot trailer through the 3/4 inch of ice that got dumped on central illinois last night. its still raining ice here...my little girl is going nuts because ther is nothing to do. my wife is trying to help me get a few things done...(weed out our computer room, file a months worth of statements that have been paid, organize my humi and coolerdor etc)

you have no idea how dependent you are on electricity until its gone. luckily we are warm. i have a large 25000 btu kerosene heater going in the living room and my small coleman camp heater going in the back hallway. so we are warm but it stinks like a cabin in here right now. couuld be worse. atleast i still had about 15 hours of personal time left.

hey cycleman, are there any bud distributors down there hiring? haha

be safe guys...it looked likeit was heading to the northeast part of the country...but it will be snow and not ice by the time it gets there. at least thats what the weather channel said last night.

DUDE! Please tell me you are cracking windows. etc. You are burnng indoors and creating CO. When teh big storm went through here a couple years ago there were deaths and lots of CO poisonings.

God i love you guys! thanks for caring, but this budman knows whats up.

i cracked my kitchen window and back bedroom window just enough to let some air in but not let all the heat out. between that and me going outside every ten minutes to check out the neighborhood....we are ok.

Ten, maybe twelve inches of snow today, another three to five due on Sunday.

Temps dropping like a rock tonight, probably be zero by dawn.

Minus eight to minus ten next week.

House buried in snow.

Couldn't even get out the back door.

Had to go out through the garage.
