KEEP YOUR SMILE WHITE!!!! Say "NO" 2 Backy Stains

I thought I'd share with you my secrets to how I keep my smile and teeth so white........

(please,,, so jokes about me having the whittest teeth you CAM ACROSS!! )

I always have ladies telling me how white my teeth are and they are surprised I smoke cigars.....

I do have some secrets...... well.... not really, but commin sense things.

I have my teeth cleaned by my dentist every 6 months...... and....

I LUV MY BRUSH!!!!! I pick these up at Publix (Food Store here)... for 18 bucks!!! It charges it's self when you place it on the craddle. Makes your teeth feel like they got a pro cleaning....

I also use Crest Strips. I pay the extra coin and get the professional level. After you do them for about a two weeks.... you really only have to do the strips about once or twice a week to maintain the pearly whites...

Armond has the best paste..... IMHO.....

about 2 times a week I put the Hydrongen goodie.... in my mouth when I shower.... and hold it in the front, around my teeth... while I wash my ass.....

Soooooo......... does anyone else do anything specail? I'll add to my stuff if it's good.....

Gotta keep a nice smile. It's good for the chicks and in business too.....

Also makes you feel pretty good when you smile at the old ladies at church...... hug them and tell them how beautiful they look..... they just melt and it makes thier day..........

Not that you have this problem..... but most people do not floss enough...

Food gets int the nucks and cranies (not grannies NICKS!).... and then break down and decay and spoil and SOOooo many people don't smell thier own breath.... so they have this food spoiling in thier mouth and people at work won't tell them they smell bad....

SO that is just a general statement for people..... not directed at you my brother....

For cigar breath,,,, I keep gum and mints handy..... and I also by the little travel size Listerine bottles they sell and have a few in my office desk and in my truck.....

Totally helps..... until they create a cigar that smells like pussy..... we'll just have to suffer and use mouthwash.....

I was JUST at the store recently looking at those white strips and wondering if they work and are worth the coin. Thanks C-Man.

I came back from the dentist a week ago. I use a similar brush and agree at how clean your teeth feel after using it. He also recommended using those Crest whitening strips. At first, I thought they may just be a gimmick but if you say they work, I would certainly give 'em a try. I am a fanatic about keeping healthy teeth and gums, but never could figure out how to get 'em white; even with the whitening toothpaste.

Another excellent product out there is called "Plackers". I keep a bag at work, one in the car, and one at home. Much easier to use than standard floss.

Nothing fancy to my routine:

Sonic Toothbrush (min. twice daily)
Floss (min. twice daily)
Listerine (min. twice daily)

Routine dental check-ups/cleaning

Haven't ventured into the whitening products on the market; also thought they were some sort of gimmick. May need to consider trying 'em though.

As far combating bad breath....I keep a travel bottle of listerine in my desk at work and routinely carry some sort of gum and/or mints.

Haven't had any complaints and since a dog can't smell it's own $hit I'll have to assume I don't suffer from "Dragon breath".

I thought I read somewhere that the whitening strips were bad for your teeth. Something about they make tiny microscopic holes in your enamel which can cause sensitivity and leads to cavities. I don't know if it's true or not, just thought I'd throw that out there. Maybe someone else heard of this too?

I'm lucky enough to have the nice white teeth, but bad genetics when it comes to cavities. My routine consists of brushing twice a day, use Crest Pro Health mouth wash, flossing when I remember, visiting the dentist when I have the money or when I'm in pain. I also chew a lot of Trident White. I love it. It tastes good, it's sugar free (bonus for us cavity magnets), strengthens teeth and it whitens the teeth and helps prevent stains as well. I also don't smoke much, don't drink coffee at all or too much Coke (which stains teeth as much as coffee can). That's about it.

As you can see, nothing fancy here but I still get a lot of compliments about how pretty my smile is.

Be careful chewing gum all the time... way not good for your jaw.....

I hadn't heard about micro-scopic holes...... but I'd rather have white teeth than nasty teeth.....

Chicks lick it..... I MEAN LIKE IT..... when I smile......... and that helps being the old man I am.....

Yeah, I have had problems with my jaw for a long time (so a little late for that...lol). It might be from all the gum chewing throughout my life. I've been chewing gum all of my life....that may be the link to the cavities too. The jaw problems may also be linked to the oogles of bike wrecks that I have sustained in my life....lol. Gum can be a tooth/tongue saver though. When I was 11, I wrecked my bike really bad (it looked like I got hit by a car). Anyway, I had two pieces of orange bubble gum in my mouth at the time. It pretty much kept me from either biting my tongue off, breaking my teeth, or having my teeth rammed into my lower lip. So gum is cool sometimes.....lol.

Kudos for the pearly whites. I haven't been to a dentist for a few years... I'm a slacker!

I brush once or twice a day depending on whether I remember to brush at night or not. I floss on an irregular basis, and I use Listerine Whitening mouthwash, it's listed as a pre-brush rinse, but I use it post rinse... why rinse then brush?

I know a girl who is obsessed with her teeth and literally brushed the enamel off her teeth. I haven't seen her for a few years but I'd imagine that she would have to get caps/crowns on many of her teeth as a result.

I was thinking of something similar except with vodka.

disinfect the hell out of my mouth and enjoy it

I've been looking for the strips but all they have here is the brush on stuff which I'm very hesitant to use. I'm afraid I'm going to bleach my lip or gums by accident and I can't really reach inside my mouth
