New Job !
Well guys its taken me 9 weeks and 3 interviews and countles background cks to finally get this job with the Tn. State Vetrans Home.

I started Tues morning, My first day, one of the core floor techs had a run in with the police off premisis, and I was asked to fill in for that position untill he could work it out in court, before he would be allowed to come back to work (State Policy)

I was originaly hired to do the Stripping and Waxing of the floors on a nite shift (11p-7a) and be the lead operator to a 3 man crew, then working my way up to becoming the Floor Tech supervisor.

My duties this week have been as an Floor tech/ Enviromental Aide in the Dimentia Ward, ( Cleaning, Mopping, buffing)

Its sad to see all these Men in the twlight of their days, knowing that at one time they were all Brave Soilders, and in full comand of their minds and bodies, now reduced to what I see.

Please remember and thank your local Vets for what they did in Service to our Country, Let them know you care and that their Service mattered.

Someday, it may not be possible to be able to tell them and for them to understand what you are tring to say, if you put it off too long.

Please Keep our older Vets in your prayers, this time of the year and through the upcoming year.

Congrats on your new job!! Remember, most of those vets also had to swab and buff tile floors as well (at least, I did) and know a good job when they see it.
