Dr. Doug Ross (George Clooney on ER) The team of Lennie Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) and Mike Logan (Chris Noth). God I miss Jerry Orbach on that show. If I could only watch 1 TV drama for the rest of my life, it would be L&O reruns with Lennie Briscoe (11.5 seasons worth).

Matt Dillon Rowdy Yates Homer Simpson Randall/Klugman I've got tons of shows I have enjoyed in the last decade but they are mostly ensemble type casts that don't depend on an individual central character to carry the day. For example, Charlie Sheen may be a dick, but the writing on Two and a Half Men is as spot on as anything on the air right now.
