Star Trek is Star Trek. I mean, Captain Kirk is a legend. This was the original sci-fi TV show.

You should put the entire cast of Cheers up there. Even as a youngster, I loved watching reruns with my parents. Same with MASH (last episode sucked).

The Sopranos was an amazing TV series. James Gandolfini won enough awards to sink a battleship. His acting is stellar.

Yes, House. The complexity of this character makes it irresistible to watch. I cannot think of another character that ever came close to being like House. He is very original.

How about Sledge Hammer? Vinnie Barbarino? Roscoe P. Coltrane?

Actually, I think Beaver Cleaver has to be included in this list. The show was the first of its kind (a situational comedy that was told from the child's perspective), and the Beav was played remarkably well for a child of his age.

There are many more but I seem to be drawing a blank at the moment...
