Dumb ass kids

I was at work today and got bombarded with texts and calls from friends and family asking if I was alright and if my family was okay. I immediately freaked up but come to find out there was a big ass brawl between some teenagers near my apts and two kids got shot and killed. I got home and there is police tape everywhere.

My family and I are just fine but its sad to know that shit goes on still. I heard it was gang related but the news didn't say that. Colorado Springs doesn't have a big gang problem, mostly just some Mexican gangs but we live in a decent neighborhood and nothing bad goes on.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of those two kids and I hope they find the bastards who were coward enough to use guns in an arguement.

Sorry to hear this has happened so close to you.....kids have entirely too many freedoms now a days because Mommy and Daddy are too busy working to be ummmm, oh yeah, PARENTS!

That's the sad part. I never thought I needed to use a gun growing up. I just squared up and hoped I hit a lot harder than the other guy. I guess times are different.

I urge my 8 year old to put the games down and get outside all the time but this makes me want to buy him some new games.

Colorado isn't a place where shootings come to mind. Usually that's a NY thing where I am. Sory to hear about that, it really sucks that we have to live with this. An old friend of mine from Utah, where we played on the Utah State University rugby team together was shot in Salt Lake some years ago. Some crazed drug addict tried to steal his car from an IHOP parking lot. He was with his wife and child. He stupidly tried to stop the thief and got shot and killed right in front of his family. tragedy occurs everywhere. It's a sad fact of life.
