It's just a matter of time before somebody blabs.
http://www.fox11online.com/dpp/news/loc ... 31600_rev1 $14,000.00 reward money in that economically depressed region? Somebody is going to blab. We've got the torches and pitchforks ready, when they do.

Sweet, glad to hear that the public is putting some pressure on these turds....I haven't been able to get this subject out of my head since you posted it.
It's really shitty for all the decent snowmobile riders, they even feel like it is their responsibility to come up with the reward money. Please keep us posted as this situation developes.

While I suppose it would have added several inches to my schvantz to shoot a buck rather than a doe, the doe is BY FAR better eating (although the 1-1/2 year old buck I shot last season is mighty fine eating too). I "have a problem" with what we call "horn-whores" in Wisconsin. Guys that look at deer only in terms of the size of the rack, drive around for several days with the deer in the back of the truck to show all their buddies, and then have it all ground into sausage or "hot sticks". I guess what you do with your deer after you shoot it is your business. My deer go ten minutes from shot to gutpile, hung in the maple tree to cool, and then whisked off to the butcher to be converted in masses of steaks, chops, couple of neck roasts and many pounds of ground meat. (No pork added.) Some people don't seem to understand why deer hunters care about this episode. We kill deer too, right? I fired my gun three times last season. I got three deer in the freezer. No deer went more than 15 yards before piling up. Nothing suffered excessively or was tortured. Good shot placement, clean kills. Deer hunters don't "torture" deer. And you'd be surprised (if you don't hunt) what a mixture of elation and remorse it is when you shoot one, and then notice what pretty eyes and long eyelashes they have.......

They caught the pieces of shit.
WAUPACA — Three snowmobilers, one riding a stolen sled, chased down deer from behind before running them over in a slaughter that left five animals dead, investigators say. The three Waupaca County men arrested in connection with the killing of deer last weekend near Waupaca were booked in the Waupaca County Jail on Wednesday afternoon. They are: Robby Kuenzi, 23, E5548 North Shore Road, Weyauwega; Rory Kuenzi, 24, 410 Harlon Street, Weyauwega; Nicholas Hermes, 22, 215 W. Alfred Street, Weyauwega. The men are being held on multiple felony counts of mistreatment of animals. The men face 3 ½ years and a $10,000 fine on each count. Hermes made his initial appearance today in Waupaca County Circuit Court, and was released on a $15,000 signature bond. Waupaca County Assistant Dist. Atty. Troy Nielson said the deer slaughter demonstrated “a good deal of depravity,” but agreed to a signature bond for Hermes because he cooperated with investigators. In the criminal complaint obtained today by The Post-Crescent, investigators say they went to Hermes’ home after receiving tips he might have been involved in the slaughter. Hermes’ 18-year-old fiancée, who was with him the night the deer were killed, answered the door of the home they share, and allowed investigators to search it. There they found Hermes’ Polaris snowmobile, and it was covered in some spots with blood and deer hair. When authorities interviewed Hermes at his job, he said he and his fiancée were snowmobiling Friday when they met Robby and Rory Kuenzi. The three snowmobiles encountered the deer near Denmark Road in Lind, and Hermes said he accidentally struck a deer, but the Kuenzi brothers began purposely chasing the deer down before running them over. Hermes said he saw Rory Kuenzi at one point dragging a deer that had been roped to the sled. Investigators found three of the deer in the field Saturday. A snowmobile had stopped atop one of them and ripped open its stomach, said Ted Dremel, a state Department of Natural Resources warden based in Waupaca County. A fourth deer had broken legs and was euthanized. The fifth deer was dragged from the field and tied to a tree about 25 feet from a road. It strangled itself trying to get free. The dead deer were two bucks and three does. One was a fawn. Police, acting on tips, found the stolen snowmobile, near snowmobile trails in Mukwa. The sled was reported stolen Dec. 26 from outside the Kegles Bowling Center in Manawa. The slaughter has sparked outrage from snowmobilers, hunters and animal lovers, and rewards totaling more than $10,000 have been offered for information leading to the suspects or their convictions. Neither Nicholas Hermes nor Robby Kuenzi has a criminal record, according to online court records, though Robby Kuenzi was ticketed in 2003 for shining wild animals. Rory Kuenzi was convicted in 2005 of substantial battery and sentenced to a year in prison on the conviction in December 2007 when his probation was revoked. Robby and Rory Kuenzi are scheduled to make their initial appearances Friday. Hermes will appear in court again Jan. 27.

All the Wisconsin outdoor sites are saying 3-5 years for aggravated animal cruelty and $10K fine per animal. That's PRISON time, not JAIL time.
Revocation of hunting and fishing priveleges for life. Plus we're sharpening up the hatchets, axes, chainsaws and pitchforks. I ain't kiddin', neither. ![]()

Glad they caught the Bastards. Throw the book at them and give them all 5 years to think about it. $50,000 each would be a nice touch too but don't know if the courts will ever see that money.

I remember years ago in Florida miscreants did the same thing to Everglades deer with large 4X4s.
I wanted them dead then, and I want these asshats dead now.

Re: Opinions, please. *WARNING - DISTURBING CONTENT*
I hunt. I fish (well I've never caught anything, but you get the idea).
This, to me, is horrific. Many people have different reasons for hunting. For some, where game and time is abundant, it is the meat. For others, it is the thrill of an inferior being (humans) finding a way to take a superior animal (I'm alluding to sport hunting here). For others, its the comradere that the hunt brings, with friends, family, etc. To others, and I am one of these, it is the realization of the long cold hours spent, the witnessing of a great animal (10pt, spike, or doe) as God has made it (one which reminds me greatly of my best bud, my yellow lab), and the taking of that animal, for our use. Its the last sucking sounds it makes after the arrow has pierced its chest cavity (I'm a bowhunter)...the joy of success and the deep sadness of taking a simple, innocent life in order to postpone my inevitable death. There is no feeling like it, especially for a city boy raised as a non-hunter who fell into the sport of his own volition. I would in no way classify myself as a very religious person, but a successful hunt is one event that I would certainly describe as a spiritual experience. There is never a drop of that deer wasted, and I think all of us could benefit from seeing just where our prime rib, filet mignon, or even our ground round came from. That being said, I am very cautious to speak poorly of any other hunter. Within the hunting community, there are many who say that bowhunters are more pure to the sport, those hunting with autoloaders are serial deer killers, those who hunt with rifles are more humane, those who hunt with "black" rifles are psychopaths, etc., and, in my opinion, none of these statements are wholly true....or even partially true. I will never condemn a person for killing an animal to thin the herd or for food or sport (regardless of their weapon), for rack of ribs or the rack on the animals head....but when it is purely for killing, and purely for torturing (which the episode of tying a deer to a tree leads me to believe), then I feel no problem with sending a few field points your way....no sense in dulling my blades on you. From what this article leads me to believe, I would have no problem supporting....hell, f that...administering the death penalty to these sociopaths. I know MANY hunters, and ALL would be in shock after reading this. This is no hunter. This is no animal killer. This is a psychopath. Immediately the words of a great man, Uncle Ted, come to mind.... Well, listen everybody, to what I got to say. There's hope for tomorrow, Ooh,we're workin'on today. Well,it happened long time ago, in the new magic land. The Indian and the buffalo, they existed hand in hand.... The Indian needed food, he needed skins for a roof. But he only took what they needed, baby. Millions of buffalo were the proof. Yeah, its all right. But then came the white man, with his thick and empty head. He couldnt see past the billfold, he wanted all the buffalo dead. It was sad...It was sad. Oh yeah...yes indeed. Oh yes, it happened a long time ago, baby. In the new magic land. See,the Indian and the buffalo, they existed hand in hand. The Indians, they needed some food, and some skins for a roof. They only took what they needed, baby. millions of buffalo were the proof, yeah. But then came the white dogs, with their thick and empty heads. They couldnt see past the billfold. they wanted all the buffalo dead. Everything was SO sad. When I looked above the canyon wall, some strong eyes did I see. I think its somebody comin' around to save my ass, baby. I think...I think he's comin' around to save you and me. Boys......I said, above the canyon wall... strong eyes did glow. It was the leader of the land, baby.OH MY GOD, The GREAT WHITE BUFFALO..... LOOK OUT!!!! LOOK OUT!!!!!!!Well,he got the battered herd. He led em cross the land. With the Great White Buffalo, they gonna make a final stand. The Great White Buffalo, comin'around to make a final stand. Well, look out here he comes. The great white buffalo, baby. The Great White Buffalo.... Look out, here he comes. He's doin'all right.Makin'everything all right. Yeah,yeah,yeah... |

Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. All I can say.
That and I'd like to do the same to those.. not even human beings, that they did to the deer. The scary thing is if you'll do it to animals then you'll do it to people. |

This is animal cruelty....plain and simple. I am an avid hunter/fisher and the idea is a quick kill. These guys should get a harsher punishment than that being handed out.

Re: Opinions, please. *WARNING - DISTURBING CONTENT*
I was an avid hunter when I lived up north, and love me some good venison when I can get it, however, killing just for the sake of killing, and in such a inhumane way, is inexcusable!
If I were king, I would catch these SOB's put them in a field and give them the same treatment they gave these animals! |
