Opinions, please. *WARNING - DISTURBING CONTENT*

As most of you guys have probably already figured out, I am active on a number of outdoor / hunting / fishing websites.

This weekend an event occurred that disturbs me deeply, and I wondered what a group representing the more general public (like, say, cigar smokers) would think of this.

I'm not a hunter, not for it, not against it, my opinion on this is that running deer down with snowmobiles is completely retarded...It's not a bullet through the chest followed by a few mins of pain and then death as hunting goes...they are impacting the animal with a vehicle and leaving it there for hours...possibly days in pain.....If I knew who did that I'd kick the ever living shit out of them....that's what I think

Couldn't watch the vid, but found a related article.

That is sick. Just sick. I don't understand why people get off on killing animals. Must be some kind of power-trip thing. Very similar to these "controlled hunts" (animals tagged and drugged, hunters guaranteed a kill) you start seeing more and more of.

Hunting and fishing is one thing if its for consumption. Eating meat (chicken, pork, beef) is completely another.

Just sick and stupid. Drew, I hope you meet these guys and kick the shit out of them. Put their teeth on the curb for me....

So....then....in other words....it's not irrational of me to want to beat them with a board with a nail sticking out of it....or drag them face-down through broken glass....or park a snowmobile on their face and gun it.

I'm literally so angry I can't even work.

I want these vermin found, hung, drawn and quartered, and the individual pieces SHOT.

We now return you to our regularly scheduled cigar-related weener-waving.

I'm against hunting for sport, but completely for hunting for food.

Wow, that is completely ridiculous, and not to mention sick. Im assuming that most active hunters hunt for the food and what not, and that seems completely fine. But when people are killing for sport or running them over with a freakin snowmobile, i just find that lame.

I also cant believe they tied a deer to a tree. You guys are right, they deserve to be curb stomped once or twice.

I might get thrown in jail just for saying what I'd like to do to these sub-human pieces of garbage.

A curb stomping isn't quite sufficient in my eyes.

That seems more than appropriate to me.

I'm a hunter/fisherman and I find it hard to see how anyone would want to do anything like this. Now I'm also not sure if physical harm to a perpetrator in this case would do any good either.

How about once the responsible party is identified and proven guilty of such acts they be put to work with habitat restoration, trail maintenance (with hand tools), and made to work in an wildlife rescue cleaning up after animals that are in for rehabilitation. Now this would be in conjunction with some serious psychological counseling and some jail time and monetary reparations to the land owner and community. Say 3 years of community service?

Maybe not as immediately satisfying as a Louisville Slugger to the knees but it will pay back the community and the agony will last a lot longer.
