Whosoever can say exactly what this implement is intended for will win some kind of great cigar(s) or pipe stuff. I've had it for at least 20-years and nobody - I mean NOBODY - who has seen it has a clue what it is used for. Including me.

Guesses may be interesting but I am seeking ABSOLUTE certainty to award a prize.

Yup. Looks like it has 3 different sizes for different grills, plus a teak handle for outdoor use. I wouldn't mind having one of those.

1. i believe it is intended to be used for a grille, looks lke something to lif the grille grates and or manuever them.


2. could also be a rice paddle of some sort.


3. Looks like a less advanced Hawthorne cocktail strainer.

So far I am going with grill grate cleaner and, so far, piperman is looking at the possibility of a '00 Sir Winston cigar or some classic Balkan Sobranie pipe tobak. For example.

A "less advanced cocktail strainer" or "rice paddle" is up for honorable mention in the "WTH" category..

My vote is that Piperman nailed it. I'm 100% certain that it used to scrape the grill. It's handle is identical to other bar-b-que tools that I personally own.

It looks like a cleat tool for removing cleats from golf shoes.

If it is a cocktail tool I would think it is for juicing lemons and limes and maybe removing pulp.

Other than that, it might be a double nostril cleaner. Pick both sides at once. LOL

It's a prototype Ninja throwing star. It was scrapped in an early phase because points weren't sharp enough and someone thought it was a bright idea to put a wood handle on it for ease of carry.

Ever try throwing it into a tree? You'll see why the moved to a new design.

It is obviously a tool used by ancient Japanese vampire killers. The iron part is shaped like a cross and is held up in front of the suspected vampire to stun him into a state of powerlessness and the wooden end is used to stab the vampire though the heart during this time of impotence.

Yes, it can also be used to clean grills or open tiny bottles of saki, but those are only suggested uses during the daytime when the vampire prey is resting in his lair.
