Vince,

Damn fine read on both counts. Congrats on the weight loss and getting your appetite back. I can vouch on the the Camaco Select. Good Gar!!!!! Looking forward to the next read. Now to figure out how to get it outside so I can read it at the end of my paper as that is usually when the breakfast cigar just starts getting good.

good morning to you all , it is Sunday 29 April, 2007, what a Beautiful day here in da Burgh the sun is up & shining , no clouds & it is 62F at 10:37 am looking for a high of 70 today , NO RAIN, but the grass needs cut, & it isn't going to get it today , hahaha I have a full day of cigar tasting in front of me , a lot of coffee to drink & a hunk of beef to cook, why I might even pull the cork on a single malt if the feeling takes hold , Hummmm I wonder , do I want a Spayside, Highland ,Lowland Campbletown , or maybe some Irish whisky today just for a change , I have a bottle of Redbreast single malt Irish that is quite tasty , Kona , Diamond Crown #1 ( after I finish my morning Don Carlos #3 ) , starting soon I will be switching to the number 4 , seams like I am running out of #3's , so I need to stock pile a few more boxes to allow them to age a bit before I start to enjoy them . I just got off the phone with the grandsons looks like I will be in the Qtr.Deck with out them today they are going to go with there friends to the arcade & not come here , I get a break today hahahaha .
it has been a Busy week at the cigar shop, lots of back orders are hitting & I have been busy with the pricing & resetting the shelves , you wouldn't think that would be a tuff job , but product placement is very important, & with different sized boxes & different shapes the spacing gets all out of whack when a box is to big for the space on the shelf , sounds trivial but to run a good shop every thing should be in place & look like it is a seamless merger of the product , I know that you have been in shops that look like Murphy's Bargain Basement with stuff all over the place , But I want my shop to look like Tiffany's Diamonds & I take great pride in doing that , I had way to many years as a chef to put out an inferior product . So I dont !!
I have a pot of Columbian Supremo to make after the Sunday Morning Kona is gone , just a few more cups & it will be history & headed to the kidneys to mix with last nights scotch .
I still haven't picked up my new "OLD BIKE" a 23 year old Honda V45 with 17K on the clock, , it just never got ridden, well that will change soon I plan on spending a lot of time on the bad boy, a V4 with a shaft drive , should be a nice relaxing cruiser , the frame mounted factory faring will be going back on & the highway pegs moved out about 2 inches A new helmet & gloves & I will be good to go . Next is a CD player for the bike , dammmm cant go on a trip with out MUSIC, all the exaust noise will be behind me so I can listen to Miles,Bix & Coltrain as I glide down the highway.

I guess thats about all I have for you today , Maybe some thing else will pop in my poor over worked brain & I will post it asap ! Enjoy, Vince

The couch in the Qtr.Deck is very comfortable, I have spent many hours flat on my back snoring like a chain saw , all the comforts of home, a/c, heat
vent fan & TV, CD & radio , I just added a computer to the Qtr.Deck today , but I havent set it up yet an old windows 98 machine with a few bugs in it , but I will be working on that some time soon, ( like next winter when I cant do anything else ) hahaha

A great read as usual Vince. I visit PA(Lancaster) every few years. We'll have to hook up for a smoke on that quarter deck. Have camper will travel. Nice to be without the kids once in a while. What's a Kona? Do you have a website for your business, if so PM me, please. Agiain, looking forward to your next Sunday post. Good health my friend.

Well good morning all it is a windy cool day here in da burgh but the sun is out & the sky is blue , & I am Black & blue, I got home from work last night & when I was parking the bike I lost my footing in the driveway & the bike & myself went over , dammmmmmmm , broke the windshield & jammed my left shoulder , How ever , I didnt mess up the egg plant parm, I brought home for the Boss , it was still in the container & didnt spill a drop of the sauce , But Dammmmmmm am I sore this morning hahahaha , who said you cant teach an old dog new tricks , well the hardest part was staning the bike back up ! ( now my groin hurts hahaha ) , well it is off to the shop to have the faring put on sice the windshield is broken , no reason not to put the faring & new windshield back on , dammmm I am rambling this morning, ha=ving trouble hitting the right keys & keeping my thoughts going , must be the meds hahaha & maybe the scotch I used to wash down the perks , dammmm I was able to do that back in the 60's with out any problemswith my motor skills , but dammmm when you get old , everything starts to fall appart !
I was up early yesterday to go to the scoccor field for an 8 am game , my grandson is a dancer/ scoccor player, he is just 9 years old & hasnt made up his mind what he is going to do, so now he is enjoying the arts as well as sports , my daughter was a dancer till the arthritus hit & she retired from dance , but he loves to dance so we encourage him to do both damce & sports , Lynn Swann #88 ,wide reciever of the World champion Pittsburgh Steelers was a damcer , so my grandson get all bent out of shape when you tell him he is a sissy boy , he now has a T shirt that tells you he is a dancer & will kick your behind if you tease him about it , dammmm he is so much like his mother it scares me !!!!OH NO NOT AN OTHER ONE LIKE HER !!! hahahaha
the Cigar shop was kicking @$$ & taking names this past week, Monday & tuesday were so slow I could have phoned it in , but Thursday & Friday I almost had to call some one in to help out , it was BUSY !
I was able to smoke the new 100TH. anniv. Trinadad this week, nothing GREAT about it IMHO , but a good smoke none the less, but I was hopong for a realllllllly different smoke for a 100 Anniv. cigar but I guess there is only so much of the Great tobacco sitting in storage barns to last the next 20 years hahahaha, yea sure that wrapper on the Partagas 150 was "LOST" for 18 years, & I am a blue eyed blond 18 years old ! hahahahaha .

I have a small Pork roast to do today , havent thought much about the way I wiull do it , be it with pineapple , or Orange , maybe apple & prune , could be BBQ, or I might just make a stew out of it , I just dont know what else is in he pantry to go with it , I havent cooked all that much this past week so I need to get to the kitchen soon & see what here ! , BUT I need a second pot of Coffee & a cigar before I do anything else , the first pot of Kona was just fine , but I want some thing a tad to the bold style now
I might just brew up a POT of espresso , a BIG pot a 12 cupper , not that little 2 cup brewer of espresso, BUT a BOLD FULL BODY pot of Italian roast espresso , a few drips of Sambuca & a BIG FAT DARK Lamperia Cigar , saving the single malt for later today , after the pork is done !!

well I guess that about all I have this week, if anything happens that is note worthy I will let you know asap !

Enjoy

Vince, not happy to hear about your fall. Take care of yourself buddy. Jerry Rice took up ballet to improve his game and guess what......It did. Alot of your professional ball players are taking dancing in one form or another. Not a big deal. Just tell him to keep enjoying what he is doing. We, at home drink espresso by the pot full. Good stuff with a stout cigar. Great read and happy to hear your okay friend. Keep the Sunday reads coming. It has become part of mine......Thank You.
