Single Malt Scotch Drinkers

Do we have any single malt scotch drinkers in the jungle?

I need to get a gift for my pop and I would like to give him a single malt and a cigar. So, here is my question. What's your favorite single malt scotch and would you pair it with a Punch Double Corona, a Bolivar Belicosos Finos or some other cuban cigar?

thanks

McAllan of any aging, Punch without a doubt.

Definately Macallan 18 if you can afford it. Otherwise Dalmore Cigar Malt is close second.

Unless he is a Scotch-head don't buy him an Islay. I love em, but they are an acquired taste. I agree with the MacCallan. Any year would probably work, but there is a big jump up when you hit the 18 yr.

I am partial to Highland Park. The 12 year old is great.

Cutty Sark and a Pinar 3000!

No, actually I would do the Glenlivet 18 yr. old, and something like a PSD4 or a Montecristo No.1.

Re: Single Malt Scotch Drinkers

I'm partial to McAllan 12 with any kind of strong NC cigar, or Auchentoshan when I can't afford Mac. But I don't know much about Cubans.

Re: Single Malt Scotch Drinkers

The 15 yr Dalwhinnie and the BBF make a fantastic pairing IMHO. Of course, Dalwhinnie 15 goes with just about everything.........

I'm going with the consensus. McCallan all the way with a BBF or Sublime!
