Here's a sign that the Vietnam Veterans of America put up at the reception hall that we went to when I returned from overseas. They had volunteered to come and cook for us. They were the first American contact we had upon arrival back home. The sign is very fitting.

My dad got back in '67, one of the lucky ones.
I showed up a couple of years later.

When my sister said she wanted to be a Marine I was not sure if she was serious. The Marines changed her in so many ways. She has so much confidence in herself and her beliefs. I am so proud of her and my brother in law for fighting for our freedom.

I really want them to come home safely. Some people do not realize what the armed forces give up to fight for our freedom.

I think what you are doing is very noble.

Noble indeed!

As for myself I think in the part of town I grew up in made me kind of cruel in that I do not trust many people. I have trust issues. I think as I grow older I need to really do some soul searching and try to change a bit. Thanks for this post, it made me think.

.......it made me think.

The way it was worded just struck me as funny, no disrespect intended... just a little good natured ribbing.
I exchanged some PM's with MM last night and I see where this could be misinterpreted. So, let me clarify what I meant to say...

I see that CgarDan is naming his cigars before he sends them out. I wonder what he is calling his whiskey.
Keith, thanks for helping me to understand how this may have been originally taken. I didn't understand because I simply wasn't thinking along those lines.

See this is what i am talking about right here. Two complete strangers brought together by the Leaf, and openly working out any sitaution that may arise. Mark you are a good man and an even better BOTL. I enjoy talking about issues and working them out. It is what makes us men and defines who we are as human beings. We spend our lives living and learning as go about our daily routines. Time is a precious commadity, that we do not have enough of. It is a pleasure to know you sir, and i am glad we could talk and learn more about each other. No harm and no foul. You are a a very good BOTL. I am proud to know you and look forward to speaking with you as time allows us both.
