Skip, I'll be there May 4 - May 7. Let me know if you will still be there.

It is a real tragedy that Westward Ho shut down last November. They offered $0.99 Heinekens and for $1.49 you could get one of their infamous Mega Dogs. It was like a one pound hot dog. Personally, I'd never eat one. Plus, if you stick to most regular casinos, the drinks are free on the casino floor.

You know it. Not sure yet exactly when the Mrs. business trip is yet, I don't think it is finalized. I'll keep you posted.

Skip any place written up in the recent CA, way over the limit for normal folks. Check this place out for events and good smoke hangouts: http://www.lasvegash.com/

If staying on or near the Strip and w/o a car get to any Station Casino, Palace or Main Street. These are local's oriented casinos with better prices on everything! Food joints inside are good eats at a better price then the Monoliths on the Strip. Terrible's is a good deal.

If you do hit a Station Casino find the rewards desk and a Station Card or Pass or whatever they call them. Babble about coming to town monthly and they will probably give you $500 free slot play. You put in a buck register your card and get credit for $$$$$. Only catch is it lasts only for 24 hours, but in your case lets you play for awhile!! Most of the local joints do something similar.

If near Bally's look for a dive looking place, Ellis Island, kinda a brew pub joint behind Bally's parking lot.

Couple of Cuban oriented joints, one The Spirit of Cuba is Cuban food, music atmosphere and has a cigar area. Bring your own smokes. Check the dope here: http://www.lasvegasweekly.com/2005/12/22/taste.html

Another is Rincon Criollo 1145 Las Vegas Boulevard South, the Strip. Made the Best of Vegas 2006 under cheap eats.

If you got a rental car, or ride with someone head West my man. Charleston is great and you'll hit several Cigar Shops on the way. At the FAR west end you'll find the newest and nicest Station Casino, Red Rocks.

Wind your way back using Sahara or Flaming-O and you can hit several other cigar shops.

Oh, Golf? As of today 213 golf courses in the Valley ........... and when you come not oven-roasting hot yet.

Check some more options at: http://www.reviewjournal.com/bestoflv/ Local ratings by the LV Rag-Journal and readers, but the reader votes are lowest common denominator so don't be surprised when they pick places like Olive Garden and Taco Bell.

Also, remember 30% cigar tax and ANYTHING shiny, fancy, and lit-up on or next to the Strip is gonna cost you!!!!

Old Downtown is old style casinos and some cigar shops, look for the Fremont Street Experience, Google it for their website.

Stay out from under I-15 on foot, especially near Vegas Dr/Owens. Oh yeah, they like to change the names of the street as you drive along and then change them back two, three or four times in a couple miles.

If driving, everyone here drives with their head up their rear-end and make left-turns from the far right of an eight-lane road.

NEVER EVER gun away from a traffic light when it turns green for you. Running red lights is as big as slot machines. Practice your U-Turn, required to get from A to B, sometimes when on the same side of the same street.

Remember, any leftover cash MUST be deposited in the smoker's aquarium cum slot machine box at the airport. You didn't have a good time if you made it home with any cash or credit limit left!
