Cohiba Yellow Band

Hello Everyone,

I hate to refer another site... but if you to CA and go to the counterfit gallery, you can see examples of authentic and fakes... Looking at your pictures, I'm already wondering about the cap. Is it tripled?

I'd have to say that looks legit. The label is spot on. Looks a little loosely filled, but that could be hard to tell cause the picture is fuzzy.

Forgive me for my ignorance ... but what is CA? CigarAdvisor? Also, I'm not sure what you mean by tripled.

Thanks

Sorry about the pic. I found taking closeups was a challenge! The looseness could be because of the way it was delivered to me ... by my friend's wife in a Ziploc bag put in her purse ! It was banged around a bit. The other 3 I got are in better shape.

CA is CigarAficionado.com
"Tripled" is referring to what's usually referred to as a Triple-Seam Cap:

Lots of good info here also: www.cigarnexus.com/counsel/counterfeit/

just smoke it, if its good, its good. If its shite, you'll know in a few puffs. you will also notice the typical cuban flavor profile

they look pretty good!

I would ask him(IN A NICE WAY) where he picked them up. That can tell a lot about them.

However, like it was stated before. Smoke them, if you like them, then they are real(cigarwise).

I just took a look at them with a magnifying glass ... definitely triple-capped.

Cool ... I think I might have the real deal here. My friend doesn't remember where he got them from. He works for a multi-national company and has traveled quite a bit. He's really not that interested in cigars, but enjoys a good smoke now and then.

Thanks!
