It is an AWESOME program and one that I use. Final Cut Studio has a lot of bells and whistles, but for $1200. Start with Express and work your way up. It is professional grade editing.

Agreed, you will only need the final cut express, I have final cut studio but I use it in my professional life. Final cut is the best program (that a consumer can get their hands on anyway) out there for video editing, the films "Cold Mountain" and "Jarhead" were both cut on final cut, just to give you an idea of how awesome it is. I also agree with getting the 120GB, this is what you want to do, get yourself all set up and when it is time to do your video and photo editing go and get yourself a 250GB to 500GB external hard drive (will set you back anywhere from 85-120) and store all video and photo information (the biggest space eaters) on this drive. Once you get everything and if need help setting it up or learning how to use final cut just pm me and I'll help you out. I am an apple certified editor so I can definitely help you out.
