Personally I do not have a problem with people turning a profit.... unless they are lying about it. I may not buy from them.... and I wouldn't do it myself but to put someone on a "scum" list for profiting seems mighty harsh.

Like I said unless they were lying or selling gifted sticks or something along those lines... but the last time I checked... capitalism has something to do with profiting. When you look at some of the "for sales" here in the jungle.... you know there are some profitable sales in there now and then.

Bottom line.... being on the list for simple profiting is too harsh IMHO.

I agree. To be on the list I think you should have ripped off someone by not paying, passing off fakes, misrepresentation of items for sale, or taking money for splits and not delivering the goods. I'm not in the business as a retailer but if I was, I would feel that I was just providing a service with the expectation of returning a little profit for that service, like any business. If you are ripping off people or your services are overpriced you will not remain in business and people will avoid you. Like Klugs sticky talks about. Everyone here should have integrity and honesty in their dealings here. This site is a privlege that I am proud to be part of.

There is a Cigar Dart in San Antonio on the list. That's not me, but how would you know? There is at least one member of this board on the list, do I treat him poorly because of that?

I think I agree with D. Generate, it's who you are here that matters and time will tell. I have only been here a short time, and I know I have to "earn my bones" just like everyone else. This is not only fair, but right. One of the reasons I joined here is the way members treat each other. Every now and again someone acts so out of line they are banned, but not often. Difference of opinions are respected for the most part. And someone who proves themselves to be dishonest won't last long, heck the NST will probably out them.

I don't need a list, I just need to listen to the people here, and trust my own gut.

well, since I have never ever attempted to do anything underhanded, and Nobody who has ever traded with me has ever had reason to complain, but yet I am on this list with this explaination:

I cannot comment on the validity of such a list. Notice that All the Mods and Admins of CigarWeekly have been added to the list. For what? Allowing some of the people on the list to remain Members?



You guys all have to decide for yourself, But I have traded with 2 or three of the people ON that list and they were wonderful trades, very fair. And I would trade with those people again, long before I would trade with a number of people who are NOT on the list.

But what do I know, I am Widely acknowledged as the biggest mooch of the online cigar community.
