Id say give them every opportunity to fix it, but if they do not make good, we all have a right to know. I know i wanna know who NOT to deal with.

I am all for a mentoring program. Pairing up senior members with those newer ones to walk them thru their first deals, trades and how to navigate the site.

With this added to the site it could possibly help the newer members get established and familiar with how CL works so they too can mentor others in the future.

I agree about with Stogie about meeting people being the best part of this board. I've met up with people from around here in IL and enjoyed meeting them and hanging out. Without this site, I never would have found Kenny The King, and his incredible selection and the lounge where we can meet other BOTL. I think the other stuff is fun, but the HERFs and meetups really are great!

Thanks Stogie for pushing me and the other Statesman to plan Herfs and meetups in our state. I am ejoying the monthly planning and gatherings!

If we can vote on outing the member(s) in question I vote 'hell yes'! I would also like to know who not to deal with!

Also agree - meeting people who share the same interests, enjoy the same things, and are really fun people is why I joined. I have met some very good people who I wouldn't know existed if it wasn't for CigarLive. And if I feel like bombing someone who I think is a stand-up person, or participating in pifs, it's just my way of having fun, and hopefully making someone besides myself smile.

This might be a mistake. I think I know who they are talking about, and this person is not like this, or at least has not been like this in my time here. I think give sometime before outing this person.

I digress ............

If you have time to visit the boards, but you are not posting and ignoring PMs, it may be a serious situation in your life that is causing you to act this way. It could be a health related issue, or a number of other 'not good' senarios.

Maybe giving it time is a wise suggestion. There may be more here than meets the eye.

It is no secret who is involved. Status on the pool has been posted reguarly. It's not available today because the chart is on my own web space and they moved me to a different server last night. As soon as the DNS gets updated everything will be available again.

Two of the people in question I am not familiar with but the third I just don't understand. As I said before, he has been a good member in the past and it is totally out of character for him. I have enjoyed his company and he has proven that he is a generous person many times over. I suspect there is something going on. I am upset because this contest belongs to Jitzy and me and it is our responsibility to make it right. Because he knows that, I can't understand the lack of communication from this one member.

Daniel, Jitzy, I and the mods will make sure this is made right. My feeling is that Jitzy and I made the rules and we need to make it right for the winners. We live and learn.

To everyone who PM'd me offering to donate cigars, I can't thank you enough. If anything good came out of this it's that I know there is no shortage of brothers here willing to step up and help.

As for the situation last week with a member getting ripped off, it speaks volumes that we have people here who were willing to do more than just run off at the mouth.

There are some things that frustrate me, but there are many more that make me realize that there is more good than bad that goes on here.

Unfortunately, not everyone had a father like mine to teach them how to be a man.
You said it right. How can you give your word and not follow through. Without your word what do you have?

Time to put my 2 cents in. mark, joe and daniel have extreme patience. I looked up the members who had not paid thier cigars for the pool. some have logged on since superbowl but, have not posted. this is just plain wrong. people need to live up to there responsibilities plain and simple. i had a box ready before superbowl and was ready to ship on monday.i was lucky that i work with dozer so he got his sticks right away, no wait.i don't have the patience of mark, joe and daniel but, i'll respect there decision not to out these members.
