AHHH! the slippery slope...ILLUSTRATED!!

Hey guys, i would like to take you on a trip.. A trip down a slippery slope.. The demise of savings, the demise of the "rainy-day-fund", the demise of the "I'll buy what i will smoke" concept..

ONce upon a time there was a guy named, justin. He loved to smoke the only cigars he could get, and didnt mind overpaying for a smoke if it had a prestigious label.. Justin kept his cigars in this, as it was all that he needed..




overall, things were good.. He was enjoing his Gurkha, his Ashtons, and life was swell..

Then one day justin was introduced to a new cigar, not new but just new to him.. Opus X.. He loved it, overpaid for it, and smoked it whenever he got a chance.. He thought, "Wow! i should buy these by the box, they are sooooo expensive i could save a few bucks.." So then Justin bought this...



These 2 humidors sat proudly side by side, and represented justins coveted supply of cigars.. He felt invincible.. The one day a friend from overseas came to visit. He took one look at the humidors and asked,"you smoke cigars?" Justin immediately responded, "Why yes! And i probably have better cigars then you." This was a big mistake. The man proceeded to bomb him once a week with cigars that were stinky, triple-capped, and unbanded.....UNBANDED!!! "Why would i smoke a cigar without a band?" justin wondered. It was only after a few weeks when it was determined that the humidors needed to be bigger! Justin moved onto this..



Then that was deemed stylish, but didnt store enough of these stinky unbanded cigars.. This humidor lasted only a week or so before this was bought...

But now, justin had the ever coveted "source". He was shocked when he found out that he could get boxes of these "forbidden" cigars in the states.. He began ordering box after box.. Realizing that he now needed more storage he had to buy this..



Justin was now spoiled.. He thought he had it all.. That is until he saw this...



He realized that he truly has NOTHING! He needs more, has to have more!! so he buys more, and needs more room again!!! so he grabs this



Now, he is concerned about date codes, he is buying smokes that "he is never going to smoke for years and years and years" he cannot even spell oppus (spelling) and he is converting this into a humidor.....



i hope you all enjoyed this trip down memory lane as much as I did!!

so the moral of the story is this

"Dont be like Justin, and think that a smaller humi is all you need.. If you plan on hanging out at Club Stogie, just buy a wine fridge, and a cooler.. Better yet, kick your girl out or your kids, and convert their room into something like this...

Thanks, I've seen that thread I am just an info junkie trying to live through other people's projects. That will be one sweet edison-a-dor or wine-a-dor when you are done for sure. Good Luck!
