They have a great old Theatre there called IIRC "The Egyptian". Totally restored , like stepping back in time to the 1920's.

Congratulations on the offer. I'd go Padron 1926 or 1964 to celebrate.

Actually I am just doing a satellite program in Lewiston Idaho, so I won't be moving to Boise. But the program is still through Boise state University. My friend is however doing her MSW program in Boise and I am going to go visit soon, so I will have to check out the town.

Well they don't make blue cigars (in honor of your turf) so I dunno, anything that resembles upsetting oklahoma in the fiesta bowl?

Oh man I remember when I got my acceptance letters for both my undegrad and graduate programs. I framed them both and gave them to my Dad because I was the first person on his side of my family to go to college. Congrats and good luck!

thats a really good idea
My parents never went to college, so they might like that a lot!!
They read my application essay and were really proud so they might like the letter too.

Yeah it really used to piss me off to see so many kids take college for granted...you know the ones I am talking about, their parents pay for everything and they party and BS and never realize the opportunity they have been given. I had to pay for everything myself so it meant a lot to me for many reasons, I felt like I wasn't just going to college for myself but for all my family members who never had the chance to go. I am sure your parents would really like that, I know my Dad sure did.

Congrats....a 100 times. As a former educator, you brought back lots of great memories about grad school and my acceptance. Have lots of fun learning! It is a great experience, lots of hard work, but very, very, very worth it.
Best,
Ylo2na

I was involved in social work for 32 years. If one didn't conform to the rules of Society I gave them a ride to jail. A career than at times was VERY rewarding.

Yeah that partying annoying take for granted student definetly wasnt me. But I went to a school with a lot of them. I went to a private school for most of my undergrad in orange county ca, where everyone was super rich. WOW that was weird. And yes I am definetly paying my way though.
My younger sister is going to go to college in a couple years so that makes me happy to know she saw me as a good example and now will go herself.
