The scary part is how close it was to the New Madrid fault. If these little ones set it off it'll pretty much split the US in half.

Just had some more aftershocks while on a conference call. People in Indy were hollering they where feeling it at the same time. That's 228 miles from my office. Flint

This isn't really possible. At least not from what I have learned.

Strongest one I have ever felt in my 49 years. I was already awake and it seemed like it went on forever.

Plus we had an aftershock today. Goy me thinking about earthquake insurance on the house.

I think you got the wrong idea. I'm saying that one earthquake on a separate fault system will not trigger an earthquake on another. It is very likely that the New Madrid will go off within the next couple thousand years.

I did wake up around 4:30 but didn't know why. I was in the office when the second one hit. I didn't feel it but some of the decorative plants shook a little. I think a bus could run over me and I wouldn't notice.

I've been hearing that a lot...people woke up at 4:30 and didn't know why. Happened to my wife and my dad. And my dad was in Jeff City.
