Phoenix should be landing on Mars today!
As we all know, the Phoenix should be landing on Mars today.
And as we all know, my older brother, The Bruce, who never visits CL anymore and never gets onto Google Talk to chat with his little brother, me, is a major part of this project. He programmed parts of the arm that will scoop up Mars soil. He even programmed parts of the ovens onboard that will try to evaporate any moisture from said soil in search of water! Let's hope he didn't learn any poor math skills from me when the Phoenix attempts to land on Mars! He once told me that I had reinvented Time Travel when I tried to solve some simple math problem in Astronomy 101. I think we can get updates from Nasa's site: http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/phoenix/main/ Exciting stuff! Maybe The Bruce will grace us with his presence if all goes well! |

I watched the Phoenix Lander program on cable. Reminded me of back in '69 when we hudled around the TV set waiting for word that the Eagle had landed on the moon.

Erik, "The Bruce", is one of the very first members of Cigar Live, #51! Erik hosted the infamous "La Flor de Baloney" bundle split... I think it was just about the very first split we had. It is exciting to know that he worked on Phoenix.
