Susan-
· In cervical hard collar as her spine has not been cleared of fractures
· On 100% oxygen thru a nasal cannula (3 liters)
· Face/head cleared of fractures
· Facial injuries sutured--they do not appear to be as extensive as Barry's
· Several teeth loose at least one missing
· Spleen "exploded"--it was removed
· Rt wrist fracture
· Rt ribs fractured
· Rt clavicle fractured
· Rt scapula fractured
· Lt arm has large gash-may be fractured (x-ray requested)
· No internal bleeding other than from spleen
· They have not seen her legs--she was wearing shorts
· She was not wearing any safety gear other than an open face helmet
· Her blood pressure is very high and she is in a great deal of pain

Barry-
· In cervical hard collar as his spine has not been cleared of fractures
· Lt ribs fractured
· Lt knee fractured--no repair ETA
· On 6 liters of oxygen thru a full face mask as his levels dropped drastically in the night
· His blood pressure is very low--his mother expects he is in shock as his BP is normally very high
· They have his pain meds at a minimal because of his low blood pressure--he is therefore in a great deal of pain
· Echocardiogram completed, but no results yet.
· It took four hours to complete his facial sutures
· Most of the damage is to the left side of his face
· Several teeth loose at least 1 possibly two missing
· It is unclear whether or not he had on gloves, but he was wearing jeans, boots, and an open face helmet

They were going down I-20 when Barry black out (dehidrated) and ran up against the guard rail seperating east bound traffice from west bound traffic. Both Barry and Susan were thrown into incoming traffic and by the grace of God they where not hit.

First, I would like to ask you for your prayers and thoughts during this time of need. Some of you who came up for the Arlington Herf from Houston might of met Barry at the Arlington Cigar club (big Tony Stewart fan)

second, both Barry and Susan are racking up extemely high medical bills and will need help to pay for them. I'm planning on posting a few boxes in the Buy/sell/trade section and will only charge what I paid for the box. I'm also asking Tim Ozgener to sign a box that I can sell as well. 100% of all money I make will goto a trust fund that is being set up to help them with their medical Cost.

Once I find out more of what is needed, I will start posting boxes for sale. If you have the means and need a box or three, then take advantage and help out two great BOTL/SOTL!!

Thank you for your time,

Brian McGee

Allow me to list the address of Barry's second home... Ol' Arlington Cigar. Donations are currently being collected there and all of us are as close as family. This is a difficult time for those of us who know Barry and Susan and are struggling to cope with this unfortunate event.

I spoke to Kenny with Arlington Cigar today and for those people in this area or who might want to drive up from points south or where-ever, there's a benefit steak dinner being planned. Either Brian or I will post details as they come in. This WILL be quite a party and I would encourage any who can attend to do so. As I have said, Barry and Susan are family to us all at Arlington Cigar and we are all quite shaken by these events. Barry and Susan face the possibility of years of recuperation and rehab. With 2 small children they're in for a very tough time.

I understand from other sources that Brian is talking about setting up a Pay-Pal account but I have no knowledge of this and could be in the making. In the meantime, Arlington Cigar is accepting donations either cash or credit card.

Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers.

Do we think the mods might possibly sticky this up top to keep the information current?

Just an update on Barry and Susan. Susan was due to be released today from the hospital but Barry is still having issues with his blood pressure so they're holding him for the time being. Those folks have a long road of rehab in front of them.

Thanks for all your prayers people.

OK lets talk a little good news on this topic for a change. Barry and Susan have both been released from the hospital and amazingly, Susan has been cleared to return to work. She will still need some addition facial surgery and dental work but all in all she's up and holding her on. Barry on the other hand had to return to the hospital yesterday for a little miss-diagnoses. It seems that with all the the scans, tests and what not they missed a little something. You see Barry is in his scoot a round now with all his injuries (ribs, knee, facial sutures) he still has the nerve to be bitchin about his other leg hurting. :mumbles:Well....turns out after 2 weeks it's broken in 3 places. Needless to say, they set it today and he is feeling justified now. ibble:

On another happy note...there was a benefit poker tournament today at Arlington Cigar. With the auction, raffle and tournament, over $8500 was collected.

I wanted to let you guys know whats going on with this and all your thoughts and prayers have been working. Thanks all.

Great to hear they are home! But I know they both have a long road infront of them. They are lucky to have a friend like you and the others that helped with the tournament!
