Good morning all and yes, the coffee is on as always. Well, it was good to see the Yankees win last night over the Rays and hopefully they keep it up from now through the end of the season to have any chance to make the playoffs. The Moose got his 17th win of the season and A-Rod hit his 548th career homer tying Mike Schmidt's record for 12th all-timers. For the complete story, look here:

http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/news/...=.jsp&c_id=nyy

The two teams will be back at it tonight at 1910 (7:10pm) as well as tomorrow evening at the same time. Anyway, today is the Torano cigar event at Sanj's Smoke Shop in Bloomfield, NJ from 5 to 8pm and the man himself (Charlie Torano) will be there. I hope that a number of the local S/BOTL can attend and it would be great to herf with you all again since the summer is coming to an end. Here is a link to the thread with all the information:

Enjoy your Hump Day and smoke a favorite or two if you get the time.......

G'Morn'n Charlie, and CL sports fans. As did the YANKS, the METS pulled another victory out over the Brewers, maintaining their 2 game lead over PHILLY for 1st place. I simply do not agree w/the re-arranging of the NCAA rating....so what if Ga. Southern isnt as good as TN. ;-)

Good morning all and yes, the joe is brewin'. We had a great time last night at Sanj's Smoke shop and sit back with Steve (TOJE), Charlie Torano, Bruce Lewis, my buddy Bill (Bravo Lima) and all the regulars in the Bloomfield, NJ area. Safe travels to all and thanks to everyone for putting together another great event. Also, it was good to see the Yankees win last night again and as I stated yesterday, let's keep it up through out September. A-Rod hit his 549th homer to help the Bombers to a 8 - 4 victory and he also made history with the 1st official use of instant replay in MLB:

http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/media...16587&c_id=nyy

They'll be back at it one more time tonight at the same time, 1910 (7:10pm) and keeping our fingers crossed to sweep the Rays and get one game closer to the front. I hope everyone has a great day and enjoys them to the fullest......

Morn'n Charlie and CL sports fans. Good baseball day for sure, to cap off the the sweep by the boys in Queens, the NATZ helped the cause by beating Philly. No one is safe this year for the playoffs, a great run for all. Someone finally mentioned a 'magic number', in the AL, but nothing is cemented!

Good morning all and TGIF!!!!! Well, it was a fast and hectic week and it still isn't over yet. I'm sure that they'll be a meeting or two that I'll have to attend and then tomorrow we have the Army vs. New Hampshire football game here at West Point. We have to show up at 0600 (6am) and most likely willl be there till 1800 (6pm) or later. They are predicting the remains of Hanna to show up here after midnight and this is what www.noaa.com is saying:

Tonight: A chance of rain and thunderstorms, then rain likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 10pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Increasing clouds, with a low around 60. South wind around 6 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Saturday: Rain and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 73. Breezy, with a calm wind becoming east between 19 and 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between one and two inches possible.

Saturday Night: Rain likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 2am. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Cloudy, with a low around 61. Breezy, with a north wind 22 to 25 mph decreasing to between 9 and 12 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between two and three inches possible.

Anyway, the Yankees lost last night 7 - 5 and they'll be back at it tonight against Seatle at 2210 (10:10pm) with Andy Pettitte on the mound for the Bombers. Also, the NFL regular season is here and NASCAR is in Richmond, VA this weekend both tonight and tomorrow night so you can tell that this is another full weekend of sports. I hope everyone has a super weekend and enjoys while staying dry........

Good morning all and yes, the El Pico espresso is on. The Army vs. New Hampshire football game is still on even with the weather advisory of heavy winds, major down pour and within the bands lighting and thunder. We have to open up the Emergency Operation Center by 0600 (6am) so I'll be leaving out of here pretty soon. I hope everyone has a great day and GO ARMY........

Good morning all, the coffee is on and here's to a new week. Yesterday was a complete sports day filled with football, NASCAR and baseball. The Eagles won, the top twelve racers are locked in for the Race for the Chase (NASCAR's version of the playoffs) and the Yankees lost 4 - 2. Tonight, we'll have the Vikings taking on the Packers in Monday Night Football while the Yankees take on the Angles in Anaheim. Well, I hope you all have a good one and enjoy.......

Good morning all and yes, the joe is brewin'. Well, last night's Packers vs. Vikings game was the prettiest but Green Bay won it 24 - 19. I didn't stay up to watch the 2nd game or the Yankees vs. the Angels match up, but the Denver beat Oakland 41 - 14 and the Yankees lost another one 12 - 1. The Bombers will be back at it tonight in Anaheim at 2205 (10:05) and hopefully they can turn the score arond for a change. Anyway, I hope everyone has a great Tuesday and gets to enjoy a favorite or two or..........

Good morning all and Happy Hump Day!!!!!! The coffee is on and it looks like bagels are on this morning's breakfast menu. Well, the Yankees won last night but as the anouncer stated, it doesn't look like the Bombers will be making the playoffs this year. All they can do now is upset another teams chances of making it and have a good September run winnings. Well, I hope everyone has a great day and enjoys........

G'Morn'n Charlie and CL sports fans. Happy fans all around the Big Apple...METS won as well, and the PHIL's lost, put'n the AMAZEN's 2 1/2 games ahead in the NL East. Looking like winning the division is the only way to get to the playoffs in the NL East.
