Good morning all and yes, the coffee is on. Well, the Yankees lost another match up yesterday against the Angels 4 - 2. You can stick a fork in it as they are done for this season. Oh well, there's always 2009 to look forward to and they'll be in a new stadium then. Anyway, today being Thursday, we'll be at Schlesinger's Cigar Bar / Hudson Valley Cigars this evening enjoying primo sticks and talking big fishing stories. If your close by and your free this evening, stop on by and join in on the fun. If not, I hope you enjoy yourselves as well and smoke a primo stick or two........

Good morning all and TGIF!!!! The coffee is on and it looks like a nice tray of cinnabuns that Beth picked up yesterday will be going with me to the office today for breakfast. Well, we had a great time a Schlesinger's Cigar Bar / Hudson Valley Cigars last night with the regular Thursday night S / BOTL showing up and a few new ones as well. It was good to see our brother Jim (Doogie) show up as he's been busier than heck driving the north cooridor selling Arganese Cigars. Well, with no local baseball on the tube, the jokes and stories were excellent. I wish everyone has a super weekend and you get to smoke a few of your favorites through out it.......

G'Morn'n Charlie and CL sports fans. NOT a single game on is right! WOW! Anyhow, the Phillies did play and beat the Brewers, thus closing the lead to 3 behind the METS. The Braves are at Shea this weekend, a sweep would be great, but winning the series will work just fine. Seems K-Rod tied the SAVES record.

Good morning all and yes, the coffee is on. Well, the Yankees vs. Rays game yesterday was rained out so today they will play a day / night double header. Also Today, there's a number of great college football games on as well as the NASCAR Nationwide Series (formaly called the Busch Series) this afternoon. I hope everyone has a super Saturday and enjoys a few of your favorites.........

Morn'n Charlie and CL sports fans. As did the YANKs, the METS' game was rained out and a double header yesterday. Ofcourse, the televised game just HAD to be lost to the Braves. The latest NEW YORK's son, Santana just can't seem to get the luv from the bull-pen. Thats 8 he's lost to the pen! Oh well, can't win them all, 'we' just want them to. I just can't stay calm when they loose to the BRAVES! They won the 2d game in fine fashion. Good football for the State og bama..the Tide won with pride, AU-burn got burned, but scored more points than Ms. State 3-2...sounds like abaseball game! JAX State had a bye week, UAB was crushed by TN and TROY State walked all over their opponent. Hope yer favorite NFL team does well today.

Good morning everyone and as always, the joe is brewin'. Yesterday was a nice relaxing day with a stop at Hudson Valley Cigars http://www.hudsonvalleycigars.com/ where I very much enjoyed for a good 2 hour cigar (CAO Brazilia Anaconda - 8 x 5. All the while, the Yankees split a day night double header and will play the Rays agian today at 1305 (1:05pm) right here in the Bronx at Yankees Stadium. Also today is the 1st race of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Series Championship. The guys are racing up in Loudon, NH and hopefully they get the race in and it doesn't get rain delayed. I hope all of you have a great day and relax with a favorite or two or........

Good morning all and yes, the coffee is on. Well, it was good to see the bats working for the Yankees yesterday as they beat the Rays 8-4 and to top it all off, Derek Jeter got his 1,269th hit at Yankee Stadium, tying Lou Gehrig's all-time record. He has 7 games to go ahead and I'm sure that will happen soon. For the full story of the day to include A-Rod's gram slam, go here: http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/news/...=.jsp&c_id=nyy
Also, Greg Biffle won the 1st of 10 races in the Chase to the Sprint Cup Championship in the elite NASCAR series. Dale Jr. finished 5th and is tied for 4th place only 50 points behind leaders Carl Edwards and Jimmie Johnson who are tied for 1st. Anyway, I hope everyone has a great week and enjoys a few of your favorites through out it........

Good Morning Charlie and CL Sports fans. Congrats JETER, that was one helluva at bat against the 'new kid' who he's never seen....his experience showed. As for the Amazen's, well, amazingly enough, the pen blew yet another lead going into the end of the game giving the Braves 5 runs in the 9th to loose. Time for the METS to buckle up because they have no more days off until the end of the regular schedule. Hope all had a great sports weekend and a good week ahead.

Good to see the Fightin' Phils sweep the Brew Crew, especially taking two on Double Header Sunday. And with such authority! If the Phils can keep this up for the rest of the season, guaranteed either a playoff berth or wildcard spot. Either is OK with me, as any potential tiebreakers will be played in South Philly, and will ultimately result in the Mets going home empty-handed

Good morning all and yes, the joe is brewin'. Well, last night's Monday Night Football game was definitely wild and wacky. After a number of dumb moves, fumbles and a few hale marys, the Cowboys won 41 - 37 over the Eagles. For the full story, look here:
http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5j...qeAFgD937JF880
Also, the Yankees won 4 - 2 and they'll be back at again tonight at 1905 (7:05pm) with Andy Pettitte on the mound for the Bombers. I hope everyone has a great day and enjoys a primo cigar some time during it.......

G'Morn'n Charlie and CL Sports fans. As the METS loose ground on their lead, I'm trying to stay positive. A shocker in the Brewers Clubhouse as the Skipper, Ned YOST gts fired w/a dozen games left. They put all their eggs in 1 basket when obtaining C.C., and they mean business. I think Mil. will come out hard and secure a sopt as the Wild Card, meaning only division winners (GO METS) will see the play offs this year.

Good morning all and Happy Hump Day!!!! The coffee is on and it looks like bagels are on this morning's breakfast menu. I'm getting ready to head down to Dover, DE early Saturday morning for the NASCAR race and then later on that evening to the Newark, DE Octoberfest which by the way is one of the biggest festivals on the East Coast:

http://www.delawaresaengerbund.org/v5_Oktoberfest.shtml

If there are any local S / BOTL that want to meet up at the fest for a cigar, post away or send me a message and we can set it up. I hope everyone has a great day and enjoys........
