In a non-cigar related way, what's up with you guys?
We've been back home for WAY too long. I'm getting lazy in my routine, and need to get back on the road SOON. Luckily we head out again next week-been doing training and some work in town. Although yesterday I drove 3 hours to a jobsite, and found out they didn't have all the specialty stuff that they required, fun. I'm driving back up there right now, to try again.
Training last week was good, though. While most of it was stuff I've been doing for years, it was good to get a bit of a refresher. We also found out that they are interested in sending us for a few specialty training courses to get advanced certifications. I'm _really_ excited about that. It's not only the "go there and we will pay for the test", but they will pay for the training boot camps, and we can still be getting work pay and per diem while we are there ( =
I've also made a ton of progress on our computer situation. My laptop and our desktop have both been formated and are getting back to normal. I'm working to get the Vista desktop to act sort of as a network server for us, but also as the photo editing station (probably a bad combo, but it's not like it really serves MUCH). Last night I finished loaded all of my old backup and archive cd's and dvd's, so it will be good to get that stuff all sorted so I can have files, and file backups-not the same thing in 6 places and no way of finding it. I guess there IS a downside to being a click happy digital camera wh0re.
Anybody know of any good online photo gallery software? I have my own server space, so I'm not looking for one of those free uploader sites. I just can never find any software that I really enjoy using. Preferably something that allows other users to upload pictures..
Oh, my truck just hit 88888 miles, hah. I had thought I'd hit 100k before the 2 year mark of October 3rd, but I'm thinking we are looking at a more realistic 95k.
