Unhappy evol cig

so im tring, or i am..quiting smoking cigars evol little sibling, the cigarette. Its almost been 2 days, and right now is a tuff moment, i would love to fire up a cig rite now and inhale that smoke !! but i must resist . Im drinking some ales too so thats making the cravings a little more intense , but i need to be able to get thru them. My next move is to wait until this craving passes, then puff on a cigar. Prolly something like a flor de oliva , until tonight when i make my nightly selection .... anybody else here quit smoking cigs and still able to smoke cigars ? its making it easier knowing i can go smoke a cigar to get the nicotene but actually hitting and inhaling a cigarette is a totally differnet problem....

I quit Cigs a couple years ago and would always smoke one when drinking. After I started smoking real good cigars, not the cheap store stuff, I can not stand the smell of cigarettes any more. I feel like I am going to hurl whenever I am around that smell. I think that it is all of the chemicals that drive me insane.

man i quit smoking cigs, about 4mths ago, i can honestly say since i started smoking cigars more, cigs smell nasty, i mean nasty, i haven't had one in a while and i'm extremely happy about that, they're gross, but i understand what u r going thru, but i hate the smell of those things, you'll be alright, it's just a matter of discipline, a friend once told me when you are ready to quit, you will. good luck pro

yeah im definitly ready to quit. i need to, they are a waste of time and money. and they are murdering my lungs ..bleh. my wife also told me if i quit she will give me head lol jk hahah but she said she would let me pick up some smokes of choice too. so thats some incentive . im struggling right now, but i can pull thru, i have to prove to myself that i am stronger than a cigarette, which i have failed many times before. im off work for an entire week starting tonight and that should make things easier , since i dont have to be in that work environment. just me and the fam. thanks for the support

You need an alternative when you are wanting a cigarette. My suggestion is to post more when you are in the need for a smoke. Keeping yourself busy and not thinking about the cigarettes is the key.

If your wife would give you your reward early, that would be ideal

They say that the first 7 days are the hardest. After that all of the nicotine is out of your system and it is psyhological. I quit and now the smell of them gets to me. But being the good redneck that I am I still dip. Not that often mainly while at the firehouse or fishing. But I need to quit that to. Good luck brother!
