Best $59 ever spent

We have been working some very long hours at work so I picked up one of these. Works great and keeps me pumped up. Best $59 ever spent. I am hooked.

It is small and fits on my desk nicely. One person complained about the smell, so they go take a break when I brew it.

Nice little machine. Try the Community Coffee website for good espresso beans at a reasonable price.

She said she has an allergic reaction to the smell of coffee. I asked her if she could smell her own perfume and she said she could not smell it. She then said she is allergic to alot of things. To make a long story short I let her know when I am going to brew it and she steps out for a break.

I always end up brewing two pots now since all the guys smell it. I will upgrade when I get some use out of this one. I am using Starbucks Italian Roast and French Roast Extra Bold. Got two bags and almost down to one now.

I will try the Community Coffee. Thanks

Tell her you have allergies also...particularly allergic to women. Maybe you could move her desk outside.

She was cool about it when I told her I was going to keep making it. She came up with her own solution to take a break when I brew it. She is the only woman in the drafting bay so she is used to hearing everything and anything we talk about. She puts up with alot from our side of the bay. She smelled it from her drafting bay about 15 ft away. Most people stay out of our area because we are pipers which have a reputation for heckling when they come in our area. The only people that come in are Engineers and they leave us alone most of the time. We work such long hours that we need some little comforts like this to make the day go by. I also got a George Foreman but that had to stop when the whole place was smelling like fried summer sausage in the morning. The boss said do it in the kitchen with that one.

Man, all you're missing now is an ashtray and a few cigars in that office!

Personally, I feel sorry for her. I've heard of being allergic to peanuts, chocalate even grass, but to be allergic to a smell, especially coffee, ouch.

Personally I think it is BS that is why I let her come up with her own solution. Let her deal with it.

Guarantee she is just wanting to bust your balls. She complains cause its a new odor in the work place. The sound may also be irking her more then the coffee smell.
I deal with cleaning chemicals for electronics and metal finishing and I have walked onto production floors that reek of isopropyl alcohol and rosin flux. Hell in one place I could smell it as soon as I opened the lobby door. We installed our "new" chemistry in their cleaning machine and 3 women complained within 5 minutes of operation even with exhaust ventilation installed.
Give it a month or two and she will be desensitized then brew up a pot and check the reaction.
If she bitches again after that send her a flower arrangement with lots of Golden rod in it.
