Thoughts about a national HERF...
I am sure this has been brought up before! However, I am going to ask anyways. I was thinking that it would be cool to have a national herf. Maybe once a year in rotating cities. I know it would be a big deal to get it all organized and am volunteering to try and organize one here. Once we move down beside our bar we will have a 2500 sq ft Cigar shop connected to our Bar. So there would be full access to food beverages and cigars. Maybe make it on a Sat so people could get together Fri night and Sunday if they wanted. I was picturing something with several cigar reps that would promote it and donate cigars. I wanna keep this short. However, would like some feedback. We can schedule it next summer. Charleston is a great place to visit for the family also. So this could also be set up as kind of a Family deal that everyone can get involved. Maybe start it at a park of some kind and move it to the cigar shop. Please let me know what you think?

This actually sounds very interesting. My wife would be up for something like this to. My only problem would be my son. If you were able to have it start in a park or somewhere outside that would be great. Maybe a big cookout or something. But when you move it inside, or if it were just held inside that would be a problem. I am sure that my wife would let me go and she and the baby stay at the hotel or do something on their own. But I would feel bad because she likes to smoke cigars to. But I am interested in seeing what happens and see if I need to take my vacation then.

your town would be an excellent place to have one , it can be sold to the non smoking wifes and kids
 as a vacation spot as well. Theres much to do down there. Plus having reps and a bar makes it very accomidating |

I love the idea of a big cookout outside!!! We have several people here that have connections so we could do that!!! Actually scrmn3 has a house that is right on the water... a huge lake! That would be fun too. I was thinking summer. Gotta have time to do it. And if i can get a couple reps to comit if we can get a date set up!

Excellent idea! I like the thought that it could be outside so the family could come. If I could swing it I would definatly come.

OK sounds like this might build some steam so lets throw out some timeframe ideas... I am thinking maybe Early June? trying to keep it while school is out... I would rather make it later Sept for it not being smoking hot! But that will be otuhg on the family idea.

if I guess correctly, first weekend in June is the Famous CigarFest... maybe should try to not conflict with that... and considering that I think the CI 'fest is the first weekend in May, maybe we should shoot for the weekend in July after the holiday weekend?

I have talked more with the owner of our cigar shop. Once we move our store with the bar we will have over 6000 sq ft so that would be a nice place to have the evening things
