Chiagoland...help needed!

My trailer is broke, or breaking, at least. I just spent $350 having a set of these shackle links replaced last week, and I'd rather not pay that again. I know the repair guy was just absolutely worthless, so I should be able to pull this off.

Problem is, I don't really have the tools (or maybe I do?) I do have a very large floor jack, and a full set of sockets and wrenches. I am, however, not really sure how to swap it out.

I'm currently parked at the Empress Casino (in their RV park, not their own parking lot), and should be here through the weekend. I'm willing to beg, plead, and bribe for assistance!

Okay, small update.

The office just emailed me, and we have to be in Westbury, NY on Monday. Sooo...I will be leaving Chicago, Saturday AM. We are finishing work between 1PM and 2PM this week, and I would love to herf with some of you guys before I leave-regardless of if we get together and fix this, or just hit a B&M.

A casino.... Not a bad place to be broke down. Which I could offer some assistance, but I am not mechanically inclined in the least bit.

Dude I'm sorry you are having car problems. I honestly wouldn't know where to begin with that. I DO however have a suggestion for a herf. If you are free Friday (anytime really) I'm thinking about hitting up Belicoso Cigar Lounge in Orland Park. It looks like it's about 20-30 min away from where you're staying.

Here's a map

Will do!

The nice part about it happening now, is that we are parked and unhooked. I can easily yank the wheels off, since the trailer is supported by it's stabilizers.

Good news-JonDot has explained all that I need to do, to take care of this. Tomorrow after work, I take her apart. Also planning to catch up with Chris on Friday. This Belicoso looks like a pretty swanky shop! Anybody else thing they can manage to roll out? I'm sure I'll bust a knuckle (or 10) working on the rig, so I might be a bit bloodied-but all the more reason to need a cigar!
