R.I.P. Nick Adenhart

Sorry that this isn't the right forums for this.

Didn't know if anyone hasn't heard this yet, but after a great game with 6 shoutout innings pitched, rookie pitcher Nick Adenhart and 3 others were killed when a minivan ran a red light and then fled the scene. I saw highlights of the game and it was a great performance. Such a good start to what could have been an amazing career. As I was typing this they just started talking about this on the redsox games. Seems most people still don't know about this.

Rest well Nick Adenhart. My thoughts go out to his family and the family of the others who were killed.

I've been following this story all morning. It's a sad day for the Angels, and for all of baseball.

And just a minor correction to the original post, he started three games for the team last year, and won one of them.

Very sad story. Glad to hear that the driver of the other vehicle was captured a short time after.

Just to correct the previous post. This was Adenhart's 4th start in the bigs. His major league debut was May 1, 2008 also against Oakland.

I will definitely burn a stick in his honor tonight. I'm an Angels fan and I was shocked and saddened by this news.

They showed the guy that hit him on the news tonight....the DA is gonna throw the book at him. They got him on DWI, trying to leave the scene, vehicular manslaughter and they are pushing for murder!
