It's a sad day for my company today.
Last night one of our members fell to the ground and died. I work for a massive construction company in Louisiana. All we know as of now is he was from Texas, he was 23 and has a 6 month old baby. It's really quiet and erie around her and they are shutting the entire job site down for the weekend. My prays go out to him and his family.

I'm sorry to hear that, I work for a railroad and have lost a few co-workers over the years, I know what you are feeling, my prayers go out to you and the young mans family.

I worked for a steel processing facility a few years back doing equipment/crane maintenance and had a coworker fall 30 feet to the concrete. He shattered both legs below the knees. They saved one and gave him a prostetic on the other.....he came right back to work within a year or so. Its a very dangerous job. A coworker of mine almost knocked me off of a crane rail (we were tightening j-bolts on the rails) that was 40 foot up!! I had a harness on but didnt have to test it....i dropped to my belly and staddled it. Within a month of that happening I had a new job lined up! Money is not worth the risk. Sorry to here about that young kid. Be safe up there. OSHA is good thing.
