One of my other hobbies is High Powered Rockets.
A fellow rocketeer I meet many years ago, launched and recovered the largest model rocket to date. His name is Steve Eves. I tip my hat to a job well done. Below is link to a video of his launch. YouTube - Steve Eve's Record Setting Saturn V Launch - April 25, 2009 - Steve Eve Saturn 5 Thought some of you wood get a kick out of his successful project.

Re: Large Model Rocket Launch
Steve Eves hails from Ohio.
I wish I had been a member of his team, but I can not claim to be. I do not recall a rocketeer who's father was nick-named Rocky.

Re: Large Model Rocket Launch
Steve lives in my neck of the woods in Lake TWP., Ohio. Even though I don't know him, he had the rocket displayed at the Hartville Marketplace last year. Talk about a huge rocket. He did a fabulous job building it at 1/10th scale. I only wish I had been there to see it take off as the video really doesn't do it any justice.
Here's a couple of stories from the local paper on him: http://http://www.cantonrep.com/archive/x718262281/Rocket-man-ready-for-launch http://http://www.cantonrep.com/archive/x1092985730/Lake-Township-mans-homemade-rocket-soars-into-record-books |
