In fact I am going to work right now.
I am going to throw in Shut Up and Drive by Rihanna and blast it.

Oh man I am terribly sorry!

At least you didn't end up like the guy outside a gas station near my house, a car pulled in front of him while he took off too fast out of the parking lot and his bike and himself unfortunately didn't make it.

I would consider you very lucky.

A friend on a car forum I'm on was killed in a head on crash last year on a motorcycle that he had only had for a month and a half. Looks like a lot of fun, but a bit too risky for me (especially considering how I drive).

I will ride again but it may take me about a month or so to heal from my soreness. I was more ticked off that the lady ran after the fact. I got up from the crash looking for her.

She seen you? or was she oblivious, you think?

I am not a rider, and I disagree with that statement.
I think people in 4 wheeled vehicles are more reckless and uncourteous.
At least the riders around here seem to be cautious while having fun!

Re: Totaled my bike. Someone pulled out in front of me and ran.

Some of the witnesses said she was trying to dart in front of their vehicle. I know she saw us at least after the fact. Also, I dont narrow down bad drivers to the car that they own. A bad drive is one who does not pay attention to their surroundings

My face with a helmet on shattered their mud flap. It always ticks me off when I see people not wearing any jacket, gloves and FULL face helmet. When they wear shorts, flip flops, and a tank top, they are just asking for it.

Sorry to hear that you totalled your bike, but glad that you are ok.

Some people have little to no regard for motorcycles.

Man that does suck. Like Bill says you have to get back up as soon as possible. It took me a few months to get over my crash and I was a little slow at first but it was all good after the first close one. I hope all is well and don't let a 4 wheeler take you out of the game.

Thats what I was trying to say people who drive cars, are paying less attention whats going on around. Specially people driving big pick-up trucks. I had bike for a long time, and its dangerous driving in rush hours. I used to be more of night time driver! I had couple bad crashes, but nothing to serious, no broken bones! I still have 750 gsxr the one Cypress want, and it's crashed too only plastics, car pulled in front leaving hihaway on exit, and slammed on brakes idk why she-he did it, I slid like couple hundred feet, and it has custom paint on it Ill take few pic later on! but I'm OK!

Re: Totaled my bike. Someone pulled out in front of me and ran.

The main thing is that you are ok and will ride again,,,it just doesn't take the "pissed off" aggression you still have after she takes off. Hope the insurance will be enough to satisfy you,,if you don't like what they are wanting to offer you can always haggle with them,,,,show photos of it when it was in its best condition etc etc. Good luck!

Re: Totaled my bike. Someone pulled out in front of me and ran.

Rode mcy until 2005 ( 1998 HD Sportster XL 1200-all tricked out). July 4th 2003 car load of dudes cut me off on a parkway forcing me to try and mount a 12'' cement retaining wall on the shoulder. No, don't think so.

Front wheel snapped sending me airborne 40ft.-landed on the grassy shoulder-broken scapula, clavicle and lower back injuries. The dudes just laughed & drove off. They should have died in their father's testicles.

Thank God for good protective gear. Saved me from serious injury. Rode 'till 2005 but pain too intense. Sold bike. Still yearn to ride. Saw a beautful Triumph (Bonneville-on same parkway) & the old pull came back. Fuggeddabouttitt.

Spring is a very dangerous season. Motorists are not conditioned to seeing bikes-summer is somewhat better.

Glad your'e ok.
