Found out this morning one of my friends was in a accident over the weekend. Sounds about the same as you cypress but he hit her straight on and went over the car. It was good to hear that he was wearing his protective gear but he is going to the doctor today to get his shoulder looked at. His bike looks totaled.
Were you live in South Florida? I live in Tampa bay! and Yeah the snow birds should be forbidden from driving I had a lady pulled out on my past week on middle of the road, and she was just standing not moving, I was coming 50mph, went into other side off road, she was driving antique Cadillac not to mention she was antique too lol I would off totaled her car if someone was in opossite lane! We call the down hear monkey drivers, because they bearlly see the road, and rive with their hands raised in the air, and trie too look trough between the steering wheel lol

Went ahead and lifted weights like normal. The only thing is I had to go easy on my shoulder. My muscles, and ribs are fine. I have to watch out in hyper extending my shoulder as that is where it hurts.

Yes I had the Opus and enjoyed it. About the only one I was disappointed in was the My Father Lancero. It didn't have enough umph for me. Too light and creamy.

That sucks about your bike, but the main thing is that you are OK!

Re: Totaled my bike. Someone pulled out in front of me and ran.

I am 100% back to normal. Payoff for the bike is $5632 - $500 deductible. I had to claim it on my insurance because the lady who caused the accident ran. I am wanting my gear to be replaced by insurance. 400 Shoei Helmet, 350 Jacket, 250 Pants, 100 Gloves. I may wear over 1k in gear but I walked away alive and still have my skin. Hopefully everything will be paid off next week and I can start looking for another motorcycle.

Re: Totaled my bike. Someone pulled out in front of me and ran.

First of, Cypress, glad to hear your ok, good gear is the only way to go, it has saved my hide a couple times, I was hit in the same way twice, once the guy ran, and the second time he stayed, but I know how you fell. not sure what you did with the bike, but as it has been said before, you can always buy it back and fix it up, and still get the new pike you were planning on.

and sorry for the hijack, but for the paint on Egis’s bike, it looks like it was painted with the lighter shade of orange, then covered in a large opening window screen or netting, then painted with the darker orange, or possibly it was a Kandy coat and more was applied after the covering to make it darker, then the netting removed and cleared. It shouldn’t be too hard to duplicate if you know the color used, or have a shop like Finishmaster around that can sample the color and match it for you.

Anyway to all ride on, and be safe

Wow missed this thread all this time. Glad to hear you are ok. Amazing how a jacket and helmet can save your life.
