Admittedly, it has been A WHILE since I have been here. What gives? I sign on to ClubStogie.com and see this.

Can someone fill me in on what has happened in the last 2-3 years? (Holy crap, it's been that long????)

I would guess not too many people remember me... but I am hopefully back in the swing of things (although my collection has taken a hit - no more smokes left!)

So now I need to go out and find a new humidor and spend a month's paycheck at cigarbid and I should be back in business.

To answer your question, Mr. Jon Caputo purchased Club Stogie, Cigar Live, Cigar Review, and Top 25 Cigar in an effort to create a Cigar Super Community. The purchase happened about 8 months ago and the change in websites happened in early January.

So this is pretty much where all 4 of those boards link to? Are all the posters combined?

There aren't too many people that I remember from when I was on there. Is Ron1YY (I believe that was his username) still around?

Yes all of the posts are combined. It seems like your Ron1yy has chosen to leave as his last log on was 01-12-2009. We have seen an increase of new members and faces do change. We hope to see more of you around.

And that he did Sam. I was only around for a month when it was "Club Stogie" and don't get me wrong it was great, but in the past few months Puff has been off the damn map with it's "awesomeness".

So welcome back and yes we now have us a "Cigar Super Community".

Does all the bombing/cigar trading still happen at Puff? I remember my favorite days of CS was a war going back and forth between me and Ron, with upwards of 100 cigars going back and forth in each send off. I was still a newbie at the time, and had the help of 20 or so posters get him back.

I need to build up my collection and start sending a few off

And to answer your question, there has been a ton of activity going on here lately. Not only bombs but contest!

I was new at the time, too, and I was pretty nervous about what would happen, since most online mergers I've ever been a part of were disastrous. As far as I can tell, Jon had the uncommon good sense not to radically alter what was a very successful formula. Some changes were inevitable, but they seem to have been well thought out and executed, so I give kudos to Jon for that. Some of the old-timers bailed out and started another forum without giving the new Puff site a fair trial, but these things happen. The friendly spirit and atmosphere of Club Stogie lives on. It's a great place to talk and learn about all things cigars, or just to hang out and chatter about whatever.

Not really old or new on here. I've been on some BB's for a long time and others just a year or even less. Anyone that can say they were on the old JR BB is definitely a FOG, in anyone's book.

Anyways........... Welcome back, this place has grown leaps and bounds it seems.
