I just got . It seems the job I am working on is coming to an end so my company is sending me to the next one. Don't get me wrong, I still have a job, BUT I am going from 50 hours to 40 hours and losing 5 Bucks an hour. That will cut what I bring home in HALF!

Well I was looking forward to the weekend smoke's but you can't celebrate like this. Oh well the bright side is I still have a job.

That is what you should be celebrating, they could've came to you and said "sorry guy, we had no choice, we have to let you go". Ask the BOTL's on this site who have unfortunatley lost their jobs in the recent past if they would take 40 hours a week at whatever wage and I'm sure they would be ready to fire up a celebratory stick. It's all about perception.

vince be grateful that u have a job trust me... i got laid off last week on what wouldve been my dad's 60th bday... they came to me and said "look were struggling financially as you know and at this time we just cant afford to pay you" i went to an interview yesterdaY and the company said theyd love to hire me but they dont have any money!!! i just filed for unemployment and im starting to get stressed... i havent bought a b ox of smokes in a month and doesnt look like ill be able to any time soon... its brutal out there and i know it hurts to take a pay cut like that but just be glad you have a job

I am grateful that I still have a job and I am sorry for all the BOTL's that don't, really. The thing is in my case, I won't be able to file for unemployment and I won't be making enough money to pay my bills. As hard as it is to get A job I will need a second.

Trust me I know I should be happy I atleast have a job and I don't wanna offend anyone who does not have one at all but I will not be able to pay all of my bills on the new salary.

I'm gonna have to up my dosage of Zoloft!

You will make it work brother, I am sure you will. My family and I have been through a horror show over the last 2 years and somehow, someway, we landed on our feet as you will too. Keep your head up, the brothers here are in your corner pulling for you!!

I am in about the same boat. trying to get a 2nd job to cover some bills.

It is hard especially if you have limited availability with your current job. Just a tough world out there right now. But at least we have cigars as a relaxation and calming piece. I wold probably be going crazy if it wasnt for cigars. Right now it is the only thing that calms me down after a hard day or week or month. Being able to sit and enjoy a great smoke helps alot

i use good cigars as an alternative to zoloft!!! its hard out there for most of us but i know itll turn around soon... trying to make lemons out of lemonade u know... im grateful to this forum and the members who make tough times like these a bit easier on us... i really look forward to coming home and reading through the forums... i have faith and things will get better soon for all of us... the way i look at it every day above ground is a reason to celebrate... im gonna fire up a nice one for u and me both tonite vince in hopes of good things to come... ur a good botl and a good person in general and i feel that i am too, good things happen to good people...

Yes Ben I believe good things happen to good people too. It was great timing that I got that MOAB, HavanaJohn's Bomb and won the "My Boston Terrier" contest. Atleast I won't have to worry about buying cigars for a while. Plus tx_tuff PIF some of his winnings on to me too.
