Fellow cigar friends, another health question please

Greetings guys, since my last post, I went to my general doctor and dentist, and they could not classify why I have tingling or a feeling of irritation around my larynx area, on the front of the neck, between the adam's apple and the bottom of the neck. I apologize for bothering you with this, but I have searched the internet over, but cannot find anything on this sensation. Has anyone felt this sensation before, or could explain what may be going on? I am taking vitamins C, D and E, as well as three antioxidant pills for the last 2 years, and started cigars when I was 24 and am now 28, with a consumption of about 2 cigars per day. Apologies for the long post, but your help would be greatly appreciated, as always.

If you think it may be cigar-related, try taking a week off, and see if it subsides.

any recent trauma/hit/whiplash/car wreck/etc to the neck or spinal area? Muscle spasms in that area or on the head, etc. How long has it been going on. Occur during the day, morning, night, sleeping? Anything make it better or worse? Feel any lumps in your neck, or any other symptoms? Any family history of this or anything else? And has any of your doc's gotten an x-ray or CT scan?

Good idea here, maybe even go in for a quick checkup at the Dr.

Re: Fellow cigar friends, another health question please

Thanks for the responses guys. I went to the doctor and dentist, they did an ultrasound, but werent able to see anything out of ordinary. Well, it has been going on for over a year, and it mostly occurs usually withing 2 hours after finishing a cigar, althought it comes and goes sometimes as well. I haven't had any trauma or accidents, and I never inhaled. Do you think a week off them would be sufficient in seeing if it is cigar related? Also, would having this sensation indicate that there is a serious problem, or is this sensation just a feeling everyone has after a while with cigars, but doesnt really turn into anything serious?

Thanks again for your replies.

Re: Fellow cigar friends, another health question please

Well I am not a doctor, but here is my opinion....

Everything checked out fine, is it an acidic burning sensation? If so, it could simply be acid reflux...

I do not get acid reflux anymore, however, acid reflux is generally felt in the area your complaining about and it sucks! Certain types of foods, drinks, and perhaps smoking will trigger it... It can come and go without rhyme or reason as well, even when sleeping!?!

Believe it or not, some vitamins can trigger it, especially highly acidic ones!

I want to say a certain pasta sauce from Italy initially caused my reactions, too much citrus.... Could have been a certain wine as well...

Regardless, IF it is acid reflux, you can cure it naturally! Here is a link to get you started.

I never really changed my diet much, just tried to pinpoint what triggered it and took note to avoid or limit consumption... Yogurt and probiotics I believe was the trick to getting rid of it! I haven't had it in 3+ years now...

Believe it or Not, doctors can overlook the simple things and most obvious.

If the above is not the case, try these questions, one important one was allready asked:

1. Do you inhale cigar smoke?
2. Are you smoking super SPICEY full bodied cigars?
3. Do you smoke fast or hot box your cigars and/or cigarettes?
4. Are your cigar trays made from chili peppers?

That's all I can think of, but again if you think it could be acid reflux, let me know and I can give you some pointers on what to watch out for...

Hang in there tiger!!!
