Moving to Brooklyn
So, I'm moving to Brooklyn. The girlfriend is going to school there, and I'm coming along for the ride. As of yet I don't have a job lined up, so while we are moving our stuff into the new place on the 16th I will be staying at my parents' house and working at my job here for a bit to see if I can find a job up there without missing a beat. It's been tough as I'm so busy at work this summer that I haven't even had time to go up and interview. But that will all be over in a week and a half.
So if any of you people from the area see a lonely puffer wandering the streets looking for a place to light up, be sure to invite him in for a drink and a smoke.

Bless your heart . I wouldn't wish that on anybody . To me , Charlotte N.C. is a madhouse , I'd hate to see Brooklyn ! I don't do traffic jams too well .

Well I'm a city boy, so I'm used to the traffic, noise, and whathaveyou, but it's a pretty foreign place to me. We (I should say she) do know some people there, so it won't be so bad. On the bright side, I will have access to some of the best meats you could imagine at various ethnic markets (polish, jewish mostly). The area's actually pretty cheap for that sort of stuff (at least compared to here).

Well, I'm posting from my apartment here, although I'll be headed back down to DC this afternoon.
It's not so bad, just a lot of weird looking people. But I'll get used to that, I guess.
