I was just wondering how many of us are engineers and or of a scientific background?

Fantastic...when I was in high school trying to figure out what I wanted to do my first plan was cosmology, albeit a little unrealistic unless your a pure genius. I chose the more practical side of it. If I couldn't study the origins of the universe theoretically I might as well help reach further into it. Astronautical engineering was the end result. Currently I'm working towards my PhD specializing in advanced propulsion. Go for what your passionate for!

I can count to 31 on one hand.

Health Physics, also known as Radiation Biophysics with a smattering of nuclear engineering and a whole lotta microbiology.
Degree actually reads Physics, Health Physics emphasis.
And since I'm now a doing non-technical work I seem to have forgotten most of it...except for the micro which I am still involved in.
