Re: What's Your Favorite American Muscle Car ?

Cool cars for being American. It's a shame that 90% of them on the road are kit cars though..

I am not a big fan on American made cars but I do like some of these new Retro cars like the Dodge Charger and Challanger. I think the Camero was the BADDEST looking American made car EVER as a concept but then Chevy did what Chevy does and changed all the best aspects of the concept to make it look too everyday normal...

Nowhere near 90% . There might be 40% Cobra kit cars but that's because people don't sell the real thing .The Cobra still holds the record for 0 to 100 and back to 0 !

That's the one, but hey I said since I was a KID LOL. But I do think that is the only car or truck that can pull off the yellow. Newer cars with it just looks bad!

Re: What's Your Favorite American Muscle Car ?

The new Camaro owns the new Mustang in every aspect. Hell, even the v6 Camaro is about as fast as the GT Mustang ahahahaha. The GT stands NO CHANCE against the SS Camaro. I know, I know. You're gonna come back with the GT500 crap. But, it's $20k more, so lets just compare apples to apples, mkay?

But, don't take my word for it, pick up a Motor Trend and come to your own conclusion!

SS now stands for "Saved by the Stimulus" ! Since you're waiting on it , what about the GT500 or the Roush package Stang . They'll be just like the rest of them Bowties , like their comercial says " Like a rock " . A rock sits in the yard with grass growing around it and it can't move .

Gotta love Drag Strip smack talk .

Re: What's Your Favorite American Muscle Car ?

I do get Motor Trend and that is not what they said, yes it best the G T just because of the speed, and they liked the looks of it. I think it looks like sh*t myself, like a cartoon car. But that's just me. But they made it pretty clear the Stang was a better made car, fit and finish etc.. And by the way no matter what the cost apples to apples would be the best from both cars. And I would want car back up by the government right now!

Poor sentence structure and grammar. Must be a Ford guy!

For the record:

And so . . . our winner, the Prime Pony of the 21st Century is . . . the 2010 Chevy Camaro SS. Considering all the ways GM could easily have got this car wrong, it's nothing short of a triumph how unquestionably the company got it right. The Camaro might trail the Mustang in handling sharpness, and there's no doubt it finishes last for cabin and trunk volume, but, well, you don't pick your pony for the size of its saddlebags. Graced with massive power, excellent efficiency, unfailing refinement, and show-stopping looks, the Camaro SS nails every essential for its segment. What's more, it's priced to steal. Base sticker for the 1SS manual: just $30,995. With the Boston Acoustics audio package, our cloth-seat tester climbed only to $31,490. Go nuts with the options pencil -- adding leather, power sunroof, ground effects, six-speed auto, and more stuff you really don't need -- and you can nudge the SS just over $40K.

So there you have it: Chevrolet claims the ponycar title, circa 2009. Now, go to it, Hatfields, McCoys, and HatCoys. We've been waiting 35 years to witness once again perhaps the all-time greatest feud in Autoland. Where's my cigar? Ah, there's the opening bell!

Let's all smoke one tonight for the "Prime Pony of the 21st Century"!
