Seriously, what's the big deal. Plenty of people engage in Wacky Tabacky and never do coke or heroin. Its more of a personality thing.

I was the reverse acctualy I started with illicit drugs then after a bad expirience I dropped all drugs all together-caffeine,nicotine alot. It took me a while to work myself back to tabacco and I tried the other things I was doing and it just wasent the same. So I do own a hokaah and I love cigars, My fav is Starbuzz Blueberry Grape with some Plum blended in and the shisha rubbed with guava preserves put all of that in some Diet dr pepper rasberries and cream and you got urself the best flavor on earth hands down.

I love smoking Hookah, and like many others Starbuzz is my favorite brand. Still havn't really fond a good coal to use though, anyone here have any suggestions for one?

As for the whole "hookah is a gateway straight to hell" thing, its really, really silly. You talk about people smoking a hookah because they "need a fix," well, people smoke millions of cigarettes a day to "get their fix." Its the same drug, just a different method of delivery. As a college student, I'd have to say that smoking a hookah is a great way to meet new and usually amazing people, I can count more than one time we've used it as a social tool either at home or at a lounge.

I do respectfully disagree with hookah smoking being a gateway to other things. While a person's expereince may differ and give a different view on the world or a situation. I don't hink anyone can make a solid arguement on permantly labeling hookah smoking a definite this or a difinitive that, base soley on his or her expereince/belief.

To me saying hookah smoking is a gateway is like saying Dipping (skoal/snuff), leads to chewing tobacco which leads to eating a tobacco salad with a nice balsamic vinigrette. Possible yes, probable well that i will leave up to someone else

Those two forms of the plant are definitely disgusting... but I actually know someone who that lead up to (but not a salad).

Yikes, I actually have never heard hookah as being a gateway to drugs but I suppose it's characteristics (a shorter more intense niccotine buzz/high) can be desirable to some and lead them to try other ways to get that same feeling only more intense.

But for most hookah smokers I feel that hookah is as far as we would go. Anyways, I forgot to list my favorite flavor which is diamond (comes in a gold tin similar to starbuzz and is only made by one brand as far as I know). It's a mix of different berries and always seems to be smooth. I have to admit though that starbuzz is also a great company along, especially their mint flavor.

So tell us Delsana, as I think I'm still confused. How exactly is smoking a hookah (smoke filtered through water, one puff every few minutes depending on how many in the group) is any worse than smoking a cigar (straight tobacco, one puff every 30s-1min)?

Obviously their is a sort of social stigma attached as they kind of resemble water bongs, and they do give you a bit of a nicotine buzz, however I dare you to smoke a full bodied cigar and not feel any sort of buzz.

My favorite coal to use is a natural hookah coal. So long as you have a stove to light them on they work great. The self ignition coals tend to impart a flavor I am not fond of. The natural hookah coals usually come as a bar of coal and I usually break each bar into 3 pieces depending on the size of your bowl.

I own a hookah, and smoke it every once in a while, it usually depends on the group I'm with and circumstances of the evening if we smoke it or not. On the topic that seems to have taken over this thread... I disagree. I do not think hookah leads to drug use. I can also guarantee everyone here that probably 90% of the people that smoke hookah in the world do not use drugs, and most don't even drink.

sorry guys idint meant to hurt anyones feelings. i live in a place that have a hookah cafe every corner every shopping mall and every hotel. i used to smoke hookah for very long time. in here you can pay from 1 $ to about 75$ for AJAMI tobacco. but i just now turnd to hate it for a reason or another. i didnt meant the disease it self because coke couse more diseases then smoking. but i really want to say sorry.

Same way I did it, though mine was a more detailed series of posts... though I've never made an introduction, that's something that isn't really "me", as directing attention to myself in that form is the worst thing for me.

Hmmm...Introductions are not necessary, but IMO, a good way to start off with a community of BOTLs who share the enjoyment of cigars.

At least, letting us know what kind of cigars you like or how long you've been smoking. Sometimes I wade through a member's posts; and I don't see much related to these topics... and I wonder if they even enjoy cigars at all!
